i like how caine saying “i never programmed you to say you love me” to the moon showed us how he had the ability to be loved by people without forcing them to love him all along. it hit really hard to me because of his fear of abandonment from being locked away and percieved as a failure, plus the way bubble (his subconscious, at least that’s what i perceive bubble to be/have been) seems to despise him and constantly be deriding him, so caine didn’t think he could be loved by someone unless he “forced” them (popping bubble every time he said something rude to him) or at least forced them to not hate him. god i love character growth.

TADC finale was unironically one of the best cinema experiences I’ve ever had. The audience was laughing, gasping, and the whole thing felt so communal. Never had a cinema experience like that before, likely never will again.
