Controversial take that I'm sure would have me hanged is that irl yan spaces should always be 18+ as a default considering a large portion of the dynamic's foundation is nonconsent/cnc.

Minors are constantly unaware the extent of what the label entails and how intertwined it is with kink/bdsm. It's not just about texting someone constantly and being clingy (which is totally okay to want on its own) it's about powerplay, breaching normal boundaries, overextending yourself and your energy to another person. I fear for the teens who get wrapped up in this tag, manage to get themself involved with someone, only to find themself stalked and harrassed in a way they couldn't possibly consent to. It's alarming for most adults, too.
