I sometimes think about how the Hatchetfield musicals basically take a feel-good genre and put a horror twist on them. The guy who didn't like musicals? Romcom about an office worker whose boring life changes when he gets to know the cute barista at the local coffee shop, interrupted by a zombie apocalypse. Black friday? Heartwarming christmas movie about a widower reconnecting with his high school sweetheart and learning that he can't fix his relationship with his son just by buying him a toy but UH OH the hot new toy of the season is an eldritch god! I think at one point or another everyone should become slightly obsessed with a show (preferably 10+ years old) that 99% of their mutuals don't care about. it builds character. keeps you humble

now, instead of maintaining a comprehensive, nuanced, and human-maintained encyclopedia by which to check your document, they have switched to an AI that just compares what you’ve written to what other people write in, say, Google Docs, and use the most commonly used iteration.

ever have it change something like “all intents and purposes” to “all intensive purposes” or “should’ve” to “should of”? that’s why!

people make the same spelling and grammar mistakes so often, AI thinks that’s the way you say it because it is a PATTERN DETECTOR and cannot THINK let alone use language.

“my teenage child is so selfish” is an interesting thing I only see online moms say about their daughters. I’ve never seen one say it about their son. I think it’s because daughters enter the teenage years and begin developing critical thinking skills and independence and it enrages these parents who were using their kids as their own little therapists and unpaid domestic laborers.

The Hatchetfield Bee is one of the only characters in TGWDLM who isn't in any other stories. We know nothing about her.

The Smoke Club, even if not the characters by name, gets referenced multiple times in other stories. Deb gets mentioned in Watcher World. We know Man in a Hurry's and Greenpeace Girl's names now. Melissa and the Homeless Man have whole Nightmare Time stories based on them. Grace Chasity and Hot Chocolate Boy get upgraded to main characters in NPMD.

But nothing for the Hatchetfield Bee. Not even an official script name.

What is her story? What is her deal? What lead to her being in the choir room on that fateful day, singing Not Your Seed to Bill Woodward?

I need to know.
