Love that's Built to Last: How Faith Strengthens Unions
"Breaking" News, Entertainment and Urban Culture Website
We are grossly troubled by the scenes we see with nations at war. No one likes it and most people don't want to participate in it. But the truth is, we are a nation at war, in our homes and in our communities. If you think gang violence has gotten out of control, trace it to its source, where you will find fathers against sons, mothers against daughters, communities at war with neighborhood watch teams that is refusing to talk about what they know they see and blatantly ignore. This article is simply an echo of hope toward personal accountability to every reader as the cries of the war zone are personal, they are your very own. Why?
Let it go! Maybe it truly is a God thing-
We get in our own way when we stand in God's way. Now there are many things that we can fix, but then there are somethings that God could teach how to fix through trusting him to fix them. Let it go, God is more than able to handle it

Reviews: Peace from Broken Peaces
I found this one star review on the book "Peace from Broken Peaces" and I just had to share it...not to super-size it but to put a spin on it. Let me first say, I can certainly see how the blogger came away singing to the tune of thumbs down in the air of passing judgment but in the art of corrective healing I could not help but to address it as a writer/author, empowerment personality and flawed creature that believes that "many are healed" by the power of confession, many overcome by the word of our testimony and the redeeming grace, power and love of Jesus Christ. You see my friend
Truth Heals, remember what I said, when I said it, cause you like all of us will need it.
The Review of Peace from Broken Peaces:
"Perhaps I am in the wrong mental state to fully appreciate this book, but I thought it was awful. I appreciate how honest Vanzant is about her life and the scenes surrounding her daughter's death brought me to tears. The rest of the book just seemed like a never ending saga of drama and Vanzant playing the victim.
I would infer that spiritual insight would alter your thinking around the concept of truth and how it helps others. The Soup may be in different bowls but hands down we have all been on some sort of merry-go-round before and likely will be again. The idea of being a victim does defuse power I agree but sometimes its hard to escape personal victimization when the scars have a lasting effect. Pain is often hard-wired and many only overcome it in death. We hope, pray and fight for healing and deliverance but sometimes the limp is a life sentence. When it's a personal experience most people sing a different tune. Warriors get wounded too... but we must both honor and respect them for fighting the battle that may have been ordained not only for them to overcome but the masses.
We all have flaws and the bible is filled with flawed characters that God used to teach and lead his people, but some of Vanzant's flaws are quite scary considering her age and experience. I do not understand how she was thirty years old before she had a clear understanding that she had been raped as a child. It sounded like a hyperbole to me. I also was taken aback when she wrote that she spent the first 50 years of her life insane. That is quite a statement coming from a woman who made her living from being a spiritual healer and a Priestess.
How old were the flawed characters in the bible and how old is old? What would make you think that age exempts you from insanity or being demonized or hooked on drugs or used or bamboozled or whatever? The enemy has one goal and that is to sift us as wheat by separating us from the power of God, the knowledge of self and purpose and the joy of living. This women has been called to heal and so, why wouldn't she be on the devils hit list, you should read her book "Interiors" mental illness is something you have to overcome day by day but that doesn't mean that you are powerless or fruitless or that you can't help the next person. Are you sure your dentist has no cavities, or that your eye doctor has glasses that need improvement, or that your pastor doesn't drug, drink, smoke or beat his wife or her husband.... are you sure your hair stylist isn't going bald in silence or your doctor can't shake a cold or achieve ideal weight....ijs
I was done when she wrote about not paying taxes for a year because she didn't think she had to and wound up on a payment plan with the IRS to the tune of 30k a month. This woman lost the majority of her money for such a silly reason and at that point she was well in to her 40's I believe. I won't use this review as a platform to rip this author.
Bulls eye boo, you used the platform to rip the author, but its cool because honesty opens the door to teach others and to look at self (meaning you, me and everybody) If she was insane, expect to be floored, taken aback, perplexed and much else... living in a bubble means anything outside of it, is not your current reality. It's called insanity, doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results. It can happen to anyone, which is why insanity came under the law to protect people who do things while out of their ability to think clearly.
Obviously, she has been through enough and she goes on and on about being a bad mother, not believing her own hype, marrying a cheater, etc. I don't need to add anything else to it. I will say that women really need to find a grain of happiness and hold on tight to it. Vanzant needs to stop blaming men and her absent father for all of her mistakes. At some point you have to pick up the pieces, dust yourself off and keep it moving.
You nailed it, you nailed the point of this book, she needs to pick up the pieces and I think that is what she did, she picked up the broken pieces and used them to catapult success through her calling as a writer, healer, and human being in pursuit of peace. We have all been there before, "broken" and then "broke down"...some put more money and time and faith in cars that continue to have problems than we do human beings... its a good car, smh Some get attacked by their own pets and say, its a good dog but when it comes to appreciating the move of God through truth, we get stuck in judging instead of praying and advancing spiritually...
It does not sound like she has found peace. It sounds like she is in need of cash and trying to get herself back out there. I am not mad at the sister, but this book was totally depressing and really put a damper on my good mood.
Peace is a personal view, it is given freely of God and it usually skates beyond understanding, so I get it. A workman is worthy of his or in this case her hire...don't be bitter because her gift has made room for her and she is now caking in the process, you too can get paid doing what you love with a little peace and personal truth. It is my guess you finished the book, awesome! At least it didn't bore you.
Life is a process | Selah | we do not control the process, we allow it by giving the process permissive rights to reign to expand our inner scope, and all around perspective on life's valleys, mountains and molehills.
I salute anyone that allows potentially crippling life events to go viral in an attempt to save the masses through the power of confession and testimony.
Luke 15:4 says: "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?
She may have her exposed the lost hours in her life to spare others by sharing her own story. It takes spiritual awakening and growth to appreciate the fact that we are all sinners, wretches undone, falling short of the glory of God. We are human. We all have strengths and weaknesses and while they may be in different areas they exist. To judge her for falling is like stoning her regardless of ones own personal spots. Now while this woman needs no defense team as I certainly do not know her, I was compelled to draw from the beauty of reasoning together through love and kindness.
"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?
Go Iyanla Vanzant for going after the one that needed it most!

Women Crush Wednesdays... pitfalls
if you are in a relationship then why entangle yourself in such silly confessions inspired by woman crush Wednesdays or whateva..... I mean does that not open the door for trouble in paradise? I'm just ranting and all, but it would seem to fit perfectly into the "in poor taste" box if you ask me.... ask me!
I will tell you straight up that no crush should go viral when it could possibly be hurtful to the next person. While I make this point I do no, do so in any manner in support of the nut job of a girlfriend that killed her dude over a post that was suppose to be innocent on a crush day. She was 100% out of her dang mind. I heard she stabbed him in his sleep repeatedly. How sick is that crap. I actually feel like she was the kind that would have done something like that over anything that pissed her off....I mean who does that? In case you are wondering here are a few excerpts from GP "The murder is being investigated for any other potential evidence or information regarding the situation to determine if there are any other motives as to why Edwardson would commit such a crime.
"Facebook friends of Jacobs also mentioned that Edwardson had self-esteem issues because she is dark skin and slightly overweight and that Jacobs had a post on his Twitter Bio and Facebook status which read, “I Love a Bad A** Red Bone”.

If I may sum this up, let me do so by saying that the devil is both loose and busy and people give the enemy easy access to use them to simply destroy them...
