Dearest Reader,
You will no doubt be wondering at my long absence from any communication with you. To this I can only offer regret and apology.
Like the Dashwoods, I am to shortly be removed from my most beloved family home. I will be relocating into a smaller abode in a new town to the north. And there has been no end to all that must be done in order to prepare for such a very involved departure. As I write, I am surrounded by boxes of my beloved books. How it pains me to shut them away. But I take heart in knowing my separation from them is only to be a temporary one. And that I might find some comfort in restoring them to use once settled in my new home.
Unfortunately, being so indisposed has left me with hardly any time to enjoy the delights of The Season. My only amusement has been in seeing the 2005 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice in a theatre for the first time. How wonderful it was to see my Beloved Eliza Bennet in such a way! And I am looking to the chance of attending another Public Dance. But the event is not schedualed to take place until autumn. Still, that shall give me time enough to settle on what I will wear and who might make up my party.
If any other pleasent diversion arises I shall be certain to tell you all about it just as soon as I am reasonably able. Until then, I remain your faithful correspondent.
All my best,
Ms K.
p.s. I have left some instruction with my maid to distribute to you a daily messure of those bits of ephemera that always take my fancy and, which I hope, shall amuse you while I am otherwise so engaged. These shall be marked with the tag "by care of queue" for your convenience.
