This is why Pride is not just a party. It's a joyful celebration, but it's also a pointed and colourful two-finger salute to a world that stood back whilst so many of us died. And we'll never go quietly, never again.

oh you have to eat your produce the moment it leaves the store or the fuckin Hungering Dust will get it. and. poison your food
I ran into this post years ago and to be honest, it has completely reoriented the way I engage with food.
Like. I’ve always sorta understood that things grow moldy or stale or sour or such if left out, but I never really internalized it in a meaningful way.
But now I’m just like.
Yeah. The hungering dust. There exists omnivorous dust in the air that will eat my food if I don’t.
Those bagels have been sitting there for a week. Are we going to eat them soon or are we leaving them for the hungering dust?
Pizza’s been sitting out on the counter for an hour. Everyone’s enjoying the pizza, but if we don’t want “everyone” to include the hungering dust then we should probably put it away soon.
That’s just. That’s how food works to me now. There exists an invisible predator in the air that hungers for your yummies, and it will not hesitate to eat your food if you don’t make the effort to protect and preserve it. And eat what can’t be preserved before the dust can.
Life-changing.
food doesn’t actually “go bad”, it just gets eaten by something else first

Some people believe the appendix is a vestigial organ. That its use has long since passed. I think it’s primordial. Its use has yet to come
the 20th century is crazy what do you mean that airplanes didnt exist in 1900 and by 1999 Futurama was airing
"we live in an uncaring universe." sorry the special planet full of beauty and animals and food literally growing out of the ground isnt good enough for you. i guess

It's really funny when people think Iran is a desert cause we literally have forests in the north?? The Caspian sea is right up there?? Buddy they're still shoveling snow in Sabalan lmaoo

Iranian mutuals mentioned that other provinces like Kurdistan and Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari are missing so here you go ;)
I'll try to list other provinces later but feel free to add your own
Uramanat, Kurdistan province
Sirvan lake, Kurdistan province
Saraab cave, Shar-e-Kurd
Gandoman lagoon, Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari province
i was gonna just leave this in tags but i felt i needed to add the picture: it's wild how people don't get how big iran is, obviously it's racism people just don't care and assume "ah must be a bunch of primitive desert huts" or whatever but like, imagine writing off this whole area as probably some desert because there's a desert in the middle and ignore the whole ocean and two mountain ranges and all the forests and whatnot like even if it was just as big as california that's pretty huge and diverse as climate and geography
