friend: you know that show was cancelled years ago, right? you do know that?
me, undeterred, taking another shot and slamming the glass down: –and he meets this woman, right, she’s basically just arrested and threatened him and that’s the extent of their interaction, but within HOURS he’s like “our fates our intertwined now you can’t leave me” and he was the ONLY ONE who believed her about her traumatic past and she was the ONLY ONE who believed him about where he came from, and then he almost dies and gives a heartfelt goodbye and he says, he says, “against the impossibility that we would find each other, we did, and i am most grateful for it” like some kind of cheesy romance novel, but the writers think they should focus on his centuries-dead wife?? who clearly didn’t give two shits about him???
friend, growing increasingly concerned: okay, but it was cancelled a long time ag–
me: and THEN he says, he says to her, “i choose to forge my fate with you,” and it takes him a whole ass season to break his wife out of hell, but when abbie gets stuck there? boy busts himself out of a coffin by BLOWING HIMSELF UP and they’re reunited and hugging the life out of each other twenty minutes later,
friend: are… are you okay
me: HER PHONE PASSCODE WAS HIS BIRTHDAY
Fall is the season of clarity, inner peace, and things coming to fruition. You've set your intentions. You've taken action. You've done the work. And now it's time to receive.

“Pet crows give their owners names. This is identified by a unique sound they make around specific people that they would not otherwise make.“
oh my GOD
well shit
Clearly, to the crows, we’re the pets.
*incoherent screaming*
Okay – Here’s the challenge question: Do wild crows also give humans they’re familiar with their own names (the way humans working in wildlife research give names to individual animals they study)? And do we only notice it with “pet” crows, because those are the only ones we bother to pay attention to?
And further: are we humans “smart enough” to learn to recognize and respond to our crow-given names, the way we demand of other species, in order to consider them “smart”?
Ok, but why was this ancient post of my late cat wearing the cone of shame flagged as adult content?
“Here’s the secret: Nobody’s ready. Every single day, each of us receives some kind of offer in our shaking hands and feels unqualified to accept it. It’s up to us to become bold enough to trust the opportunity, come out of hiding, and start dancing with life–to be messy and complicated and show up anyway.”

“Koreans are all brainwashed so you can’t compare them to Americans.”
Half of America is so patriotic they believe all school shootings are false flags. There was a ridiculous piece of misinfo that was floated around by mainstream news outlets that the DPRK was forcing people to style their hair after Kim Jong-Un. This was a complete lie, tons of Americans believed it and still do and won’t even do the two seconds of research needed to figure out it’s a complete lie.
Americans are one of the most brainwashed peoples on Earth. They have had their consent engineered since their birth. Ya wanna test this?
1 - Refuse to say the pledge of allegiance.
2 - Say anything negative about the military.
3 - Question Capitalism in any way.
4 - Say that America isn’t the best country in the world.
5 - Make a critique of mainstream American culture.
Do any of these things amoung others and an army of jingoistic super-patriots will descend upon you like an angry avalanche of stupidity with the exact same copy paste arguements they’ve been taught to rehearse.
6. Question the prison industrial complex and it’s inherent racism and blatent unequal treatment of crimes and those accused.
7. Talk about the colonialist history of America and how it was founded on genocide and slavery.
ancient greek word of the day: κακοθερής (kakotherēs), unfitted to endure summer heat
this literally means “bad at summer” pass it on
