Project Hail Mary has become my second favouite move ever. Beating out my previous loves of How to Train Your Dragon and Rise of the Guardians, only beaten by Treasure Planet.

Time Go Fishing is an amazing piece of music. The editing of the cuts, the visuals the everything, has been. Oh my stars, no words.

And here we are! The last art of 2025! And it is fanart! Going back to my roots of Sanders Sides!

This is all the sides from the fanfiction Storytime by my lovely friend @onthevirgeofdestruction ! And this was both so much fun and an absolute pain. It took me ages to make all the art, but it's so worth it. I'll share what adore of each piece.

I love how Remus looks like an absolute little shit. The jacket looks amazing and is a fun texture and style! I also really like the dagger with the little tentacle guard.

I love the smirk Virgil is giving. The hair looks really good, and this pose was so much fun to draw! It's one of my favourites!

Patton is so freaking adorable! I really enjoy the hugging of the animal, the rose tinted glasses, and the texture on the jacket!

Roman, oh Roman. Tamaki was the perfect reference for you. I love the make-up, the hands, the eyes, the rose, and how glittery and shiny he is. So perfect.

The Orange side has my favourite textured jacket I've ever made. I love the subtle organe in the eyes, the earings, and the whole image is a mood.

Logan, I love how the eyes are so vibrant against the rest of him. I also love love love the background. I use images from my old encyclopaedias I have and used ink blotches behind his head that looks like a brain.

Last but not least, Janus. Oh, Janus....this art made me gay. The position, the head tilted up looking down, the snakes with the suits on the forheads, the small smirk, the shadows, and glowing eyes. He turned out so hot.

I also added a little bit of myself in each art piece! Remus has an eyeball, Virgil, a ring, Patton has animal me, Roman a rose, Orange with nail art, Logan with a clipboard, and Janus with a card!

This is my half of an art trade with the lovely @thesenesx ! And I drew her demon lady oc!

I am so proud of the angle, the rendering and pose of this art piece! It was so much fun to draw, and I experimented with negative space hair! It turned out looking so good! I, again, went for a painterly look, and I think it turned out well!

I can see where I can still improve, but I am still so proud of it. I am glad you enjoyed it, X!

Hey StarSouls!

The first fanart of the year (2025)!!! Let's go! So, I've always enjoyed Hermitcraft. It's a lovely comfort series. The Hermits are so much fun to watch. I've been watching it since Season 6 and watch every episode. But, only last year did I actually start to fall into the fandom side of Hermitcraft, and I have not crawled back out.

This led to me finding the fantastic fic by @cronssic called To Lose Oneself, To Find Oneself. A Watcher Grian story with body horror and such a fascinating take on how Watchers work. I really suggest you check it out. It's beautifully crafted and such a good read.

So this is fanart of that fanfiction! This is Grian! I drew how I felt when reading the beginning of the fic and how I interpreted how Grian reacted (I am unfortunately behind in the story a bit. I do need to catch up!) There are references to certain things in the fic throughout the art! If you like Watcher Grian, give it a read!

Behold! The Shooting Star Dragon travels through the universe, leaving behind a trail of nebulas in its wake. As old as the universe itself, The Shooting Star Dragon helps paint the beauty of our universe, and help grant wishes of thoes who are lucky enough to spot it within the night sky, far from the rest of society.

This was an art swap with my good friends @the-void-dragons ! It was a piece that I definitely pushed myself with.

How? Well, it was my first time drawing a dragon in a very long time. I also tried to go for a very painterly watercolour effect. I only used three watercolour brushes and worked from there. And I am proud of it. I am also really proud of how the wings turned out. The colours look great!

So this is my attempt at drawing a photo of one of my friends! And I adore this piece so much! I love how the pose as face turned out, and it was fun to add bits and pieces that were not in the original reference image. I also love adding how the eyes had green in the centre and the necklace is so beautiful as well.

The background doesn't feel as detailed as it could be, but I still think it works! It makes the overall image complete!

Welcome! To an animal version of myself! A mix of a wolf and fox, with some inspiration from Eevee! A nebula fur pattern, white accents made from stardust, and a spade pupil. All these traits come together in a ball of fluff that I really believe represents me.

I adore how fluffy they look, especially with that massive neck fluff! Looks fantastic for snuggles while sharing the beauty of the night sky we can't always see. I also like the little book that the animal me is sitting on, even with the squiggles that represent the writing.

2025 I'd say that I definitely improved over the year, but I never got around to posting my art. Just couldn't for some reason. So here we are!

Let's start with this fairy in the rain! I am still proud of this one, even after almost a year has past.

I like the lighting, the pose, and the composition of this piece. It's really nice to just look at it. I also think I did the rain justice. The droplets doesn't look too bad!

Something that I get chills about is the fact that the oldest story told made by the oldest civilization opens with "In those days, in those distant days, in those ancient nights."

This confirms that there is a civilization older than the Sumerians that we have yet to find

Me? I think it's fucking awesome it shows just how much of this world we have yet to discover and that is just fascinating

@makaeru peer review cos this made me check when the Sumerians happened and I forget how recent history is for every other continent. 7000 - 8000 years ago just isn't that long when you're in Australia, and the amount of detailed history we have access to here is wonderful and should be recognised more internationally

This is part of my Ancient Civilizations class that I teach, which does a whole week about Australia and the Torres Strait Islands because I was sick of never seeing them represented in USAmerican history contexts. With the help of @micewithknives and @acearchaeologist I've learned so many incredible things about Australia's past and it's been incredibly rewarding to share them with students.

My favorite fact about Aboriginal oral history is the fact that we pretty recently discovered that the Aboriginal myth of the 7 Sisters, an origin story for the Pleiades star cluster, accurately reflects a point TEN THOUSAND YEARS AGO when two stars in the constellation got close enough together to no longer be distinguishable by the naked eye.

The story? 6 sisters running from something that took their 7th sister.

Exciting update!!!

I've finally finished the second draft of my Greek revolution inspired novel about the chosen one's less remarkable sister. I worked on this for nine months on and off as I dealt with losing my job and developing chronic pain.

I'm not entirely proud of it as it's messy and I didn't reach my word count target, but I have plenty of ideas for draft 3 and still love some of what I've written.

Writing 60,000 words while your life and body conspire against you wasn't easy but I made it out with a solid draft!
