Which means… at times you might not hear from him every now and then. Typically Helen doesn’t ask you to participate in.. things but if he’s struggling, well you might become an accomplice more than you already are.
Helen is a very quiet and reserved person. The first time you ‘meet’ took him close to a year of stalking before he came up to you.
So most of the time you’ll be doing some sort of silent bonding activity. Either he’s painting, stretching or sculpting. You might be doing some of hobby of your own.
Now! Don’t take offense. Helen does NOT mind however loud your hobbies are. Just prefers keeping himself quiet.

Yes he has painted with it before. He thinks it’s a genuinely complex human trait and as an artist sees its beauty.

Which is one thing, Helen is very protective of you. He’s careful, he never lets you see the full extent of it. Just enough to make you feel safe but your phone has a tracker, your daily purse, any daily item that might be 100% on your person.

And the characters are so canon, a lot of people make them occc but you just make them so on point and canon af! I’ve always wondered how romance or intimacy would flow with these literal killers , they are literally psychopaths romance is the last thing they would even think about blood and killing is the only main thing in their minds for example Jeff is so broken and full of bloodlust I don’t think he would be affected by a women in a thong sleeping in bed he would just do his usual thing and strike what he lusts after is blood, makes me wonder how the hell would romance clash with him.
And another one B.E.N. He’s a literal ai an evil ai computer entity that hunts people’s souls (that’s hot). so I don’t think romance would even clash with him or if he even knows what that is or if he’s capable of feeling it at all and makes me think “now how would romance work with that?”
If he takes a liking to someone or he takes an interest in them he would be toxic af and also I feel like he would be possessive but not like in a romantic way more of a toxic “ I own you, your mine , you belong to me” way. He definitely a sociopath, and extreme narcissist, obviously extremely intelligent , would only be “nice” if he gains something out of it and sadistic aswell.

No no your mind is literally in-sync with me. I’m sure you’ve prob noticed I don’t have a lot of x reader fics with Jeff and B.E.N because that is literally my exact thought.
Whenever I do write romance fics for Jeff I always use his fanon version instead of mine because my Jeff is very… realistic. I totally try to still write for him though since he is a fan favorite and I love y’all. However I’ve just never been a huge fan of Jeff myself, maybe it was because people started leaning into the anime boy too much lol. But in my writing I try to make the creeps as realistic with realistic consequences. Reader their self isn’t exactly sane either to make this happen.
I do describe quite often in my Toby and Jack fics how reader is very desensitized to their cannibalism as a natural consequence that would occur ‘dating’. With the dating itself not being very traditional and more instinctive/animalistic. Especially for Jack since will… we see how I write him. Bro’s not human LOL.
When it comes to writing Ben I have very clear boundaries. Never EVER will I write for Ben, he is canonically a child and I will not be romanizing that or making smut. I even try to like as little to no fics with him because of this, alas I do not always read the tags and get bamboozled by him. Now when it comes to B.E.N it’s the same just… bros literally AM. I took very very heavy inspiration from AM and GLADOS for my B.E.N. So romance fics are wholly out of the question, but I still write plenty of things for them incorporating them into my own universe! Kate I also haven’t really decided on making fics for. In my verse she’s 10% not there. And she hasn’t since she was a child… you see what I’m working with. So if I ever did make a Kate fic it would be her fanon(?) version instead of mine.

Jay also has a tendency to freeze so really you both mess with each other. October is a rather prankster month for the both of you. Toby and Jack are dicks, Toby likes messing with you however he tries never to take it too far. They’ll throw you in the woods and randomly chase you just to teach you better instincts. Forcing you to learn to move instead of standing. What if he isn’t there with you one day? You have to know how to at least hide. Clock and Nina are also very gentle with it, trying to teach better habits as well.

Notice how you freeze and immediately feel a pit. You have to learn to fight, flee, hide. They immediately but gently start training you with better reflexes and movements. Okay so I am NOT drawer or anything… But I can make collages.
This is Irina, she is my absolute babygirl OC. I use her for literally everything like she is actually GENUINELY my insert. Especially when I’m just getting into fandom and still learning ropes. I might change her every here or there for convenience sake but she is.. me. Ong
I paired her with Lion (I am a WHORE for that man). Irina is very Greek/italian mixed (again as I am). A lot of Irina’s creation in 40K is very unknown even to herself. She was found by Lion when he was still very young (as was she) I.e, before Luther. At first of course, he thought he was actually imagining her in the forest before finally realizing no, she’s the same as him.. in terms of species. They wander together from then on before being spat out where they continued wandering Caliban. Eventually they find an abandoned home, the original residents TOTALLY didn’t die from warp creatures. Settling in sometime later Luther eventually found Lion. Lion keeps Irina hidden, Luther knew she existed (lowkey thought Lion was just crazy) but he was never allowed near her. Anything Lion learned from Luther he would then teach Irina. Of course.. they’ve been each other’s ONLY moral/emotional support so they quite literally do everything together.
Boom puberty hits, men actually take longing to grow during puberty then women. So for a short while Irina actually was pretty good height compared to Lion. Which she WAS bullying him about trust. Some years later, one day, waking up Lion is so tall he’s in the sky bro. Jokes aside, when they’re well into their adolescence near adulthood. Which is kinda hard to measure because primarch fuckery and then they were both stuck in this warp thingy so their cells are kinda panicking but it’s okay. Lion witnesses a human coupling,
Lion: what’re they doing?
Luther: well… kissing. They’re a couple.
Lion: huh?
Luther: mates. They’re bounded together.
Lion: so close people mate..then kiss?

Yeah, Irina was not given a warning and Lion really just head-butted the shit out her first kiss. She still makes fun of him for it. In which he then just declared (not ask) that they were a couple. Time passes, Lion’s found by his deadbeat father and even then he tells NO ONE about Irina. Which neither mind, she wants absolutely NOTHING to do with all that paperwork and is more than content with Lion, their small home, and sometimes Luther when he’s allowed 100m of the property.
They actually get well into the crusade before Irina is actually discovered. The first one to find out about her is actually The Emperor. Full on went, “bring her over for dinner.” And then walked out the room. The Primarchs and Dark Angels met their mother/sister-in-law wholly surprised. No, like literally. Lion and Irina took a whole separate ship just so no one knew he was bringing her. Lion was basically on her lap with how much he was still trying to just shield her from view.

Okay so, we’ve discussed us sending our husbands nudes, and husband’s sending us nudes (which I’d also love to see). Hear me out, cause this is one of the daydreams I have before going to sleep.
Basically all the wives…us.. in like a…OC way I suppose for lore purposes. Have a meet up, ya know tea and gossip. Being a Primarch’s spouse is lonesome and human are social animals so the wives can truly only cling to each other no matter if their husbands don’t always get along.
anyways, unbeknownst to the wives, Alphie and Omgea put cameras/microphones in the room. Just to know, just to make sure. But ALL the Primarchs are watching (ah the wives of the imperium is a tv show I’d love to watch) and let’s say the wives kinda get a little crazy with their talk. Giggling and twirling their hairs basically just marveling how much they love their husbands (and their weewee). But in a more undignified way then they’re usually allowed to of course, like the wives really let out their cuteness aggression lol. And the Primarchs are just kinda flustered because “aww… my wife really does love me so much she wants to lick me.”

The Lion is stting completely rigid, his face is neutral. Internally, though? He is screaming. His wife just saud something about how noble and handsome he is. And Leman is grinning at him.

But there's the thing. He finds himself actually smiling slightly when he thinks no one's looking. He makes a mental note to spend more time with her. Also makes a note to kill Alpharius later for this invasion of privacy (but also... thank you?). It's confusing.
Fulgrim
"Did you hear that? She said I was perfect."
"She also said you're high maintenance" Ferrus mutters.

Fulgrim takes notes on what she likes so he can be even MORE perfect. He dramatically sighs each time when she compliments him. His brothers are suffering but he's thriving. And his wife loves him. That's what matters.

Perturabo wasn't going to watch. It was beneath him.

He is already planning to steal her away for a ride when this is over.

He is literally howling with laughter at his brothers' embarrassment. Then his wife starts talking and he goes completely quiet. She's talking about how safe she feels with him, how gentle he's with her. His brothers are staring.
"What? My wife loves me, what of it?"
He tries to play it cool but his tail would be wagging if he had one.
Rogal Dorn
"This is an invasion of privacy."
Continues to watching, anyway. His wife talks about how dependable and strong he is.

He knows he shouldn't be here, absolutely should not be watching. Despite that knowledge he is watching anyway from the shadows and listens as his wife talks about how he's trying, how he's gentle with her.
The other wives are surprised he can be soft. His wife defends him fiercely. He's... not crying, it's just dark in here. Disappears before anyone notices his reaction.
Sanguinius
He is smiling so softly his brothers are getting cavities. His wife is gushing about him and he's just glowing.
"Your wife is lovely, brother" Horus says.

He takes mental notes on everything she says she likes and he plans a romantic gesture immediately.
Ferrus Manus
"This is illogical. We should not be watching."
Continues watching, anyway. I am noticing a pattern here. Anyway. His wife talks about his hands, how she loves them despite (because of?) the metal. He is confused but also... has this strange warm feeling in his chest. He unconsciously smiles. Fulgrim notices it, of course.

He makes her something in the forge later. But for now he notes with wonder why are his hands shaking slightly?
Angron
He didn't want to come, got dragged here. By whom? It does not matter. What matters is that now he watches as his wife talks about how he fights the Nails for her, how brave he is. He goes very quiet. The other Primarchs tactfully don't comment.
He leaves midway through, needs to see her NOW. She's the only good thing and she LOVES him despite everything.

He is lurking in the corner, can't bring himself to stand too close to his brothers. But he hears every words crystal clear. How his wife is talking about how he's trying to be better, how he's protective. It does... strange things to him.
He looks physically ill. He is overwhelmed with emotion. In the best way.

It took so much courage just to bring up the idea but you managed to convince him that he deserved a relaxing getaway in nature and he agreed with the condition that you'd plan it, drive all the way there and pay for the whole thing.
You did it all with a pep in your step and a smile on your face. Listening to him complain the whole hike into the forest as you urged him to go deeper and deeper, making sure you followed your map exactly. You went through everything you'd read about these creatures in your head as you made camp, every corroborated story on every forum and every message from your own trusted source.
A twig snaps just beyond camp.
"I heard something."
You try your best to contain your excitement.
"Oh, shut the f-"
You husband is interrupted by another rustle from the bushes just out of sight from the glow of your little camp fire. You know better than to ask him to check it out so you stay silent, waiting for him to pluck up the courage himself.
"It's probably just a rabbit." He picks up a stick he was poking into the fire and walks out towards the darkness. You turn your back towards him. Making sure you don't see him actually leave or return.
There's a very brief struggle that you pretend not to hear as you stare into the fire. A long silence follows, punctuated by the crackling of your fire and sick snapping sounds coming from the bush your husband just disappeared behind.
When you hear footsteps behind you, you don't turn. You tap the space next to you, making sure the entity knows you're not suspicious or a threat.
"Did you find it?"
"W h a -" It starts but clears it's throat, speaking again in a voice much closer to your husband. "What?"
It sits next to you, stiff and mechanical.
"The rabbit in the bushes."
You shuffle closer, placing a gentle hand on his thigh, trying to seem like this is something you do often. You don't look at him yet.
"No."
You hear a soft squelching sound and he twitches slightly. You lean into his side.
"It was probably nothing. I feel safe with you, anyway."
The creature doesn't say anything, you hear tiny clicking sounds like bones setting into place. It slides an arm around your waist and you try not to look to happy as you shuffle closer.
"Do you remember how we met?"
You don't let it answer before taking your phone out of your pocket and showing it pictures of your husband, continuing,
"You were so sweet, even back then."
You wax on to the creature about a love that never happened with a man that never existed. Nothing too fantastical, just about how much of a loving husband he is, how he's so kind hearted and never raised a hand to anyone in his life. Showing him pictures you had to painstakingly search for of you and your late husband looking happy to help the creature get his looks right in case it's having trouble.
The creature slowly starts accommodating to what it thinks your husband was like. It's fingers twitch at your side, slowly starting to move up and down your waist. It gives little hums and huffs out a little laugh whenever it feels appropriate.
You almost jump out of its arms when you hear a screech from somewhere deep in the forest. It holds you closer, soothing it's hand down you arm,
"Nothing will hurt you"
For the first time since this thing walked into your camp, you look at it's face. It's morbid that you would never know this isn't your husband if you hadn't orchestrated the whole thing yourself. It's breathing is a bit forced, chest moving up and down a bit too mechanically and you haven't seen it blink yet but all in all it's a direct copy. It stares into the woods with a deep frown on its face.
You can't help but lean up and softly kiss it's cheek, curiously stroking the skin along it's jaw like you're afraid it might peel off if you touch too hard. It blinks a few times, looking back at you. Your gaze flickers from it's eyes to it's lips and you watch it do the same.
You close the gap between you without any guilt or second thoughts, kissing your husband deeply like married couples are supposed to. He copies your movements, pulling you closer by your shirt. You eventually have to pull away and take in a deep breath, he stares at your lips, copying your breaths like he doesn't know how to do it himself.
You stand and pull him up with you, guiding him towards your tent. You still have so much to show him.

Okay, so I don't think they are going to be affected by a pheromones directly, even for those who express more of the animalistic qualities, but they will sure make notice and react in their own ways. So let's take a look at that.
Lion El'Jonson
You two agree that in your own set of rooms, you are allowed to do whatever you want. He has since learned that it is important to let you go through this phase and not try to stop it, despite it being a security risk. But Lion is content to see that for the first time in many years, you are willing to stay inside, and he can at least semi-accurately predict your movements for longer than a day. Even if he has to suffer moving ten different storage crates into your rooms and removing them the next day. The things he does for you, love.
Fulgrim
He is worse than you. Fulgrim has a general sense of how the room must look, but every time the design is put into reality, it does not meet his standards. And the fact that you keep moving things is another indicator that he was right.
Both of you are wallowing in exquisite misery of having too much and not having enough. And seeing how neither of you is willing to settle, you might as well be stuck among fabric samples right until the birth arrives. Well, the rug is no longer salvageable, and neither is your throw blanket, and that took three weeks to choose! But hey, at least with an inhabitant for the room, you can start building things according to their actual needs and not your own ephemeral desires.
Perturabo
Listen, he already designed the perfect structure-sound nursery, so you moving and replacing things will be considered an insult to his skill. He broods, thinking that you have found him inadequate. Add your hormones to the mix, and well, you have a recipe for petty fight. It culminates with him crashing half the nursery with his bare hands, and you locking him out of your rooms, refusing to come out.
Another week passes, and Perturabo begrudgingly offers a compromise: he will draft about a hundred new designs and you get to pick one. And it will stay that way because, yes, moving a cushion to the left does count as a different version. Yet he would rather discard a thousand sketches rather than risk being shunned by you again.
Jaghatai Khan
The idea of nesting seems a bit alien to him. He is more used to being on the road and moving around, and you were the same as him up until this point. Seeing you actively planning to stay in a single place throws Jaghatai off balance. But it is your shared reality, at least for a little while.
He gets out of your way for the most part, settling on bringing you things that are not in the immediate vicinity. Yes, he mourns this temporary loss of freedom, but make no mistake, he is still excited to meet your little one. And maybe all of you will be able to run together sooner rather than later.
Leman Russ
Finds it amusing the longest of all his brothers. You are discerning, and you know what you want, so he is happy to oblige your requests. Nothing is too insignificant, nothing is too outrageous, and nothing is too weird. If you want pelts, they are here. If you want weapons, they are here. If you want food, it is here. And even if you want to rearrange his entire room so the bed is in the middle and surround it by makeshift fortifications, so be it.
You are carrying his child. So all of your desires are to be met. It is the least he can do for the sacrifices your body is going through currently.
Rogal Dorn
The two of you planned the future nursery and have discussed everything in advance. So he considered the matter closed, and then you start rearranging things halfway through construction.
He is not pleased, but trying to be understanding - after all this room is to be used by you most of all. The issue is that you are going back and forth with your choices multiple times a day. He also sees that sometimes you simply move things a little bit around without changing much, yet grow displeased if he tries to do the same. Dorn is still set on creating a nursery to be both warm and welcoming, but for the sake of his love of you, please make a choice of where you want the bassinet to go. A lot of defense points need to be accounted for.
Konrad Curze
He does not understand it, but this brings you comfort and joy, so he tries to participate. The thing is that the items that you end up with are truly questionable in nature, but then again, you knew the man you decided to procreate with.
Fun thing is that the word somehow gets among the Night Lords that you desire gifts for Konrad's future child. And now you have rugs of questionable leather, bleached skulls, and sharp blades piled outside your quarters. They make bets on which one you will choose, treating it as a symbol of your favoritism towards this particular brother. Konrad destroys most of it, but few trinkets still find a way into your shared quarters, and his sons are insufferable about it for months to come.
Sanguinius
He both understands and does not. Despite his wings, he is not a bird, so this is where his animalistic qualities do not come into play. He also does not see why you need an entire box of sludgy jelly near the bed. Try as he might, he does not foresee a future in which you need to urgently lubricate everything with it. Yet you insist on having it there. So be it.
Sanguinius tries to meet whatever needs you have at this time. And he knows that what you truly search for is comfort and calm. And while you can use ten different blankets for that, he is ready to provide it with his embrace. Let him cocoon both of you in his wings so the outside world, with its overwhelming choices and unpredictability, steps away. Even if for a little while.
Ferrus Manus
If you want things to be done right, please just let him do it. Do not try to move things on your own, and stop bringing useless things in there. The room that you are fussing about is about to be a functional heaven for the child. The operating word here is functional. Make sure that everything that you want to add in has an actual use. Otherwise, Ferrus will remove it from the room without much ceremony.
So, yeah, most of the nesting phase will be done via talking, or rather arguing, on whether or not you truly need thirteen slightly different pillows laid out around the crib. He thinks it is useless, you think it is good to sit on. You are still arguing about it.
Angron
He tries to understand it, but fails to see it as something beyond the need for you to feel safe and busy. The first he can relate to, but the second is something he wishes you could go without.
Angron mostly stays out of your way, but he is pleasantly surprised by how fortified you made the room with the simple things you got your hands on. He sees it as a declaration of your want for the child and want for him. And it does make his day a little bit better.
Roboute Guilliman
He is slightly concerned by the amount of times you have re-started the nursery remodeling process. To his latest count, there have been fourteen attempts on your part to remove the wall in order to replace it with some sort of partition curtain, and you also want to raise a half-barrier in the middle of the room, oh and the lights must be redone, because you do not like how it hits your eyes if you stand at a very specific angle near the crib.
Roboute has since been informed that this behavior is to be expected and does not truly signal the need for actions on his part, but he is still concerned about the sheer determination you have demonstrated in following through. He tries to gently refocus your energy on something else, but so far, it is either this or letting you redo the entire filing system on his ship. He is not sure which one is worse.
Mortarion
For some unknown reason, your desire to nest manifests not in your living quarters but in his laboratory. Worst of all, you seem to sense when he is not there, sneaking in to line up the testing tubes and move samples based on their perceived hues. And he is not an idiot. The door is obviously locked, and he has a guard out, but you got in through a vent once! Luckily, he was in there at the time, but seeing your pregnant form dropping from atop the wall is not something he wants to experience ever again.
Mortarion is at his limit. Listen, that room is not safe for you. It is not safe even for him, but that is beside the point. For now, the only way to keep you out of there is to stay with you at all times and work in the short periods in which you are sleeping. He hopes it goes away once the baby is here.
Magnus the Red
He believes that letting you play with the illusion of the room will spare him from the headache of moving things in and out. However, he failed to predict just how precise you need each illusion to be. Why do you need so much stuff in there? Yes, he could see value in having a lot of books around for it will keep you entertained and it is never too early to start a child's education. But he still does not understand why you want to have so many foods in here too. And most of the things you envision are perishable! It will not stay good for as long as you think it is.
Magnus tries to distract you, but in the end, this is the one time where his mental fortitude bends to yours. For there is no stopping you and his child. You are of the same mind on this one, and that mind demands a pyramid of oranges with a single leaf on top.
Horus Lupercal
He finds it amusing in the beginning, and gives you permission to remodel your shared quarters. Big mistake. In less than a week, your elegant shared space has no empty floor space left. He cannot make his way to the bed without crushing some trinket of yours, and it upsets you for an entire evening. After a couple of incidents, Horus orders the serfs to clear an entire deck and let it be the target for your nesting energies.
In there you are can to do whatever you want, to make each room as specific as possible, and not one is allowed to move even a single napkin. He also brings you gifts from the newly conquered or discovered worlds so you can add to your growing nests underneath. The only thing he asks is that you still come to sleep by his side in the room so he can still hold you tight.
Lorgar Aurelian
He makes it so, so much worse. Obviously, you have received a divine sign, or a vision that shows you the exact design of how best to prepare for your shared child's arrival.
Lorgar is here with you, adding, removing, and remodeling at your command. You are now walking through a holy journey of your own! And if it requires him to remove the bed, the carpet, and the desk in the middle of the ship's rest cycle, then so be it. Whatever it is that you desire. For the divinity now speaks through you, and he is here to listen.
Vulkan
He only asks that you avoid his workshop. It is full of heavy things, and he does not want you attempting to lift those. Other than that, he is charmed by your trying to fortify the bed with layers of cushions and getting moody over some truly random things not being at arm's length. Vulkan understands the need for having one's place of rest and home secured, and he has provided you with everything useful you might want. He does, however, not understand why you want to have his hammer on your side of the bed. Please stop. It weighs more than you.
Corvus Corax
He is a bit miffed about you moving his things as well, as it is confusing to have no idea where they are now. And every time he asks for an item location, you pout because you thought that your new filing and storage system was perfectly easy to navigate! But his questions point out the opposite, which only adds to your already heightened emotional state.
And it is not like he can just start searching for it, because it upsets you even more. So Corvus is set on an impossible mission: avoid upsetting you by not immediately knowing where his communication device is, and avoid searching for it for longer than three minutes at a time. What a fun little exercise in stealth you have created.
Alpharius and Omegon
They disrupt your nesting pace by moving things just slightly out of place from where you last left them. Because once you come back, you are going to be pissed that the item is not where it is supposed to be, and then get back to putting everything back as it was.
And this is how they successfully keep your nesting habits localized to one room so you do not wander the base. As far as divide-and-conquer strategies go, this one is very effective.
