If I could get Widowmaker with an S/o that has executive dysfunction disorder who's self conscious about it? It's gotten worse, and I've been made fun of for it a lot more lately, even yelled at. (This was the ask Tumblr ate, and it's fine if you don't want to do it)
;-; sorry tumblr ate this ask before. also of course i’ll fill this ask! i hope this is okay! i had to do a little research, which i hope is accurate?
Widowmaker with an s/o that has executive dysfunction disorder and is self-conscious about it
Widowmaker isn’t very good at comforting you at first. It flusters her when she knows you aren’t feeling good, especially because she usually isn’t sure what to do or how to help you. She awkwardly puts an arm around your waist and holds you close. It’s okay. She’s not sure what to say, but she’s trying. I’m here for you. She lets you cuddle with her or bury your face into her neck or chest. She also might hug you and kind of pat you on the back.
She is very angry and protective over you, to be honest. When you’re on edge, so is she. She tries to keep you close and makes sure you’re doing well. She knows that she can’t fix every problem, but she’ll without doubt be here for you. She’ll keep anyone away that bothers you about your disorder. If you can’t stop talking about it, maybe you’re the one with a problem. She’s furious.
She knows you can’t control it. She understands. There are plenty of times she wants to comfort you wholly, giving her heart and body to you totally. She wants to dedicate time and attention to you, cuddling you and keeping you safe. Something inside of her won’t let her do it, though. It’s most likely because of the conditioning she went through, and she hates it. She wants to be there for you, and hopes that she can be enough.
She doesn’t care who’s yelling at you or is angry at you. She’s angrier. She understands that you’ve heard on countless occasions that you need to be different, normal, or better than you are. She doesn’t agree at all. You shouldn’t worry about that. You aren’t normal, and that’s good. You’re someone I love, and they can’t seem to understand love like yours. She starts to become more wary and untrusting of other people, especially around you. Is this person bothering you? One time, when she wasn’t with you, she saw you getting scolded. She instantly got upset and hurried over to you, princess carrying you away. Their criticisms are not welcome.
She’ll try to help you remember things or get started on work you have to do. She knows it’s hard for you, and knows that you aren’t trying to forget things or be disorganized on purpose. It’s something that’s hard for you to control and work on, and she’s here for you. She gets that you’re just doing your best, and that people constantly berating and yelling at you is not the answer. After an aggressive altercation, she won’t leave your side until she’s sure your safe and feeling better.
She supports you, through and through. She wishes she could do more, actually, than just holding you close and giving you kind of uncomfortable hugs. If something happens in a more public setting, she’ll take your hand and gently squeeze. She also often suggests you two do something else or go somewhere else. She wants you to know that she’s trying to be emotionally present for you, and isn’t quite sure how. She hopes that you two can be together and help one another.
