new intro (october 2024)
took a long break from art consisting of many shorter breaks for different and often overlapping reasons. not able to work on things as much or consistently while slowly getting our stamina, ability, working space, and motivation back and emotionally grappling with how nonlinear that process is in the midst of other larger uncertainties. to those landing here via shared posts, please do not follow with expectations of a pristine polished gallery with regular art posts and updates. we do post older work as we want to share it and things we are working on currently, but those may be few and far between everything else.
here to reconnect with friends and peers that we missed and catch up on what you've been doing. and of course to look at interesting things and general funny tumblr shit that we are realizing how much we missed too. a tendency towards unintentional anhedonic asceticism when unable to do much leaves us more isolated and lacking creative drive and a sense of any selves the longer it goes on.
using this place casually as we come back with a different relation to Being Online after so much in our life and around us has changed. we are finding again what we are and where we fit, and what we want to be and be doing. ending a partial social media break at a time when the other platforms we were most active on are gone or increasingly unpleasant to use and the new options don't click as well with us and our reasons for being there are different, it feels nice to come back here and remember there are friends already waiting while offering a fresh blank slate in other ways.
