If it was not for American Sign Language, Deaf school for the Deaf and the Deaf community, I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't make it that far. I would be lost. I would be nobody. My emotion would be turmoil. I wouldn't be this person with knowledge. My language was being deprived by who.... People from Alexander Graham Bell association of the Deaf and hard of hearing. Only damage i have from the language deprivation is to be able to write fluently. I will always depend on my editor to edit. It's all because of ............ Oralism and AGBell organization. I wasn't able to access to a language until I was six years old. I was forced to speak and listen. They knew I m struggling. They knew only oral approach method didn't work for me. They knew that There was right kind education for me out there which is bilingual education but they chose not to tell us. They allowed me to suffer and refused to admit their oral method failed on me. I remembered the feeling so clear like yesterday that I was aware that I couldn't communicate. I was aware I couldn't express. I was trapped not being able to voice. However it didn't stop me from being a successful person... Thanks ALL to American Sign Language, Deaf school of the Deaf and the Deaf community. I wouldn't be that struggling only if I had access to American Sigh Language when I was a baby.
