there are basically 2 kinds of birds: the one that decided it’s time to move on and the other that was like ‘nope i’m still a dino you fuckers’
exhibit a:
exhibit b:
Alternate interpretation: those are both dinos
one of the millions of things i liked about spider-verse was that not only did all the female characters look different from each other, they gave mary jane her classic dimples and square chin, which might not seem like a big deal but you’d be surprised how much tiny details like those can make women in comic books look distinct
also seriously it feels like some animated films are pushing it to have two female characters who look even slightly different so i appreciate that spider-verse made sure every woman in it looked distinct from each other
taking off my bra, puting on a big t-shirt, and crawling into bed at the end of the day is very sexy of me if I do say so myself
me but at 2 in the afternoon after like running one errand

see this is why i’m conflicted when people call him a mysterious man of the forest or whatever because he’s literally just like this all the time

Hozier and Florence Welch are just pseudonyms Hades and Persephone have taken on after haven taken music lessons from Orpheus for a couple thousand years and deciding going into the music industry and gaining “fans” would be a modern equivalent form of the worship that previously sustained them thanks for coming to my ted talk
#yeah except florence is hades and hozier is persephone
Anons: I want to talk to you but I’m really nervous! I’d message you but I don’t want to bother you! You seem intimidating!
Me:
I was hanging around at my boyfriend’s place (in hindsight he was probably Satan) and we were just chilling, doing normal things, when a long, sleek, black car pulled up outside of his house. My boyfriend, suddenly very nervous and twitchy, told me to go and hide in the closet. When I asked him what was up, he just told me it was a “work associate” so I went and did as he said. I peeked a little bit out of the closet to see who this person was. I wanted to see who could possibly get my boyfriend, the actual Devil, to tremble in fear. And lo and behold, it was Ted Cruz.
Reflections on this post:
1. I need to read URLs.
2. “in hindsight he was probably Satan” may be the single greatest hook to a story that I’ve ever seen.
3. The levels of stress and suspense that occur in the rising action here rival that of some of the greatest survival horror works that exist on this earth.
4. “And lo and behold, it was Ted Cruz” is probably the only sentence that could make the conclusion to this story more terrifying, and ended the story in a way far superior to anything my own sense of dread could have come up with.
This dream got a freakin book review

Millennials are ruining corrupt corporate capitalism by caring about animals
Because we do research on branding and see which don’t poison or kill our pets 🙄🙄🙄🙄 but I guess the only killing that matters is another industry
Oh noo you poor name brands maybe you shouldnt have been selling us garbage to feed our fuzzy family members in tHE FIRST PLACE
This is the first time I’m seeing that millennials are ruining an industry by spending more on something. I’m glad
you know, the dog food industry is pretty young. 1920′s or 1950′s depending on what you count as dog food. The first thing that could be called commercial dog food was a simple dog biscuit created in 1860 by a traveling electrician (which i imagine was quite a different job in the mid 1800′s). They were based on human hardtack, designed for a profit, and were mostly wheat and beets. James Spratt apparently took his ‘meat’ source to the grave as a secret, listing it among the ingredients as “the dried unsalted gelatinous parts of Prairie Beef” Canned dog food became popular in the 1920′s and 30′s, and was mostly horse meat. The canned dog food was so popular n fact, horses were being raised by some farms exclusively for slaughter for dog food. In 1941 fifty thousand horses were butchered for that purpose in the U.S. Then came both World War 2 rationing and public outcry over the horse carnage, setting the stage for the advent of kibble. In the 1950′s General Mills acquired Spratt’s US business,, and The Ralston Purina Company began experimenting with the machines they were using for their Chex breakfast cereal. Kibble’s extrusion production featuring high temperatures and moisture removal creates a stable shelf product that doesn’t go bad, but it also removes a lot of whatever nutritional value there was to begin with. So you can see, pet food was never about your pet’s health, it was always about generating income by creating a market for otherwise unsellable ingredients, or, if you will, turing byproducts into buy-products. Before that people just gave their dogs the meaty parts of whatever they were having for dinner, or cooked them their own doggie meals. My grandmother would cook two or three days worth of dog meatloaf a couple times a week (ground beef, egg, a smattering of veggies; no ketchup almost no salt) Home kitchens did a lot more processing, so there was a lot more stuff like big raw bones with lots of meat on them - after all, you could torture yourself trying to do a perfect butcher job and not waste any of the meat you paid for, or you could just hack your steak off the bone messily and give it to the dog and you’ve gotten your moneys worth out of all of it. Also, dogs hunted/scavenged a lot more. There were no suburbs, you either lived in a proper city with no dog unless you were pretty wealthy, OR you lived in the country or on a ranch with as many dogs as you wanted and they had access to a whole bunch of nature full of dog-friendly edibles. So what I’m saying is, dog food designed by people whose first priority is dog nutrition and health? About freaking time
