The reason I've been holding back on posting my artwork is because my characters were victimized by unauthorized AI training.

We negotiated with the perpetrator to have the data deleted, but since the dataset has already been leaked to an unspecified number of people, it will likely be impossible to completely erase it.

It may not matter, but I've included the reason just in case.

I don't know if I'll post any more drawings. To be honest, it's scary.

So... how was Jetman able to get away with lifting so many elements from Gatchaman? Like... it's very evident.

Homage.  It was created as a tribute to the earlier, animated series. Plus, there are enough differences that it didn’t violate copyright.  It also helped that one was animated and the other was a live action series.

It wore its influences on its sleeve and no one was pretending it wasn’t riffing on the basic idea of Gatchaman.  Still, Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman is pretty well known.  It was a huge series in the 1970s and had a lot of influence on later works.  It’s a cultural institution like Star Trek in the US.  To extend the Star Trek analogy, Jetman getting in trouble for being an homage to Gatchaman would be like Galaxy Quest or The Orville getting in trouble for being an homage to Star Trek.  You can’t argue that either of those would exist without Star Trek just like Jetman wouldn’t exist without the anime that came first.  

It’s not a ripoff or a copyright violation, it’s people who loved something taking elements from that thing to adapt them into what they are working on.  

Also, Jetman is a million times better than the eventual live action Gatchaman movie produced years later.

I was at a shitty crustpunk bar once getting an after-work beer. One of those shitholes where the bartenders clearly hate you. So the bartender and I were ignoring one another when someone sits next to me and he immediately says, “no. get out.”

Detectives in Breonna Taylor Killing Confess to Falsifying Warrant Evidence

The detectives admit it was based on a "gut feeling."

It can’t really be, tho, she was an accidental kill. Maybe premeditated if they had killed her boyfriend or fired first, but that isn’t what happened. Still, they ARE making their case worse and worse.

They knew she hadn’t done anything.  They had zero evidence she had broken any law.  They lied in court for the pleasure of breaking into her house in the middle of the night with guns and no warning.

It’s basically state sponsored terrorism or premeditated murder.  You pick.

They had zero law enforcement reason to do it.  They knew the likely result.  They did it for fun because they could.  They planned their crimes in advance and committed another crime in furtherance of it in advance.

Like I said, looks pretty premeditated.

Seriously, how do you “accidentally” falsify evidence and commit perjury in order to commit murder?  That is a llot of planning an effort, IE: Premeditation.

I’m pretty sure if I bought bugler tools, stole a loaded gun and broke into someone’s house and shot someone, I’d be charged with premeditated murder.  How is this different? 

I also think multiple police turning off their body cameras before a shooting should count as pore-meditation.  One could be an accident, but not that many at once.  If they weren’t planing on murder, why turn their cameras off?

Except they didn’t falsify evidence to commit murder, if that were true, why did they let the boyfriend live? He was also the one who fired first, so again, if their goal was to randomly murder, WHY IS HE ALIVE??? Why would they bother sparing one if their goal was to go there and kill? And btw, they did have a stated reason. The boyfriend was involved in selling drugs. They might have falsified the evidence to get the warrant, but given he actually was involved in that, they weren’t wrong about the criminal activity.

It’s different because she wasn’t the target. Her boyfriend fired first (justifiably since they didn’t answer him when he asked who was there, giving him reason to assume they were a robber), and she was in the line of fire when they fired back. A more accurate comparison would you getting involuntary manslaughter because you were shot at and in the midst of firing back you hit and killed someone who was, again, in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Premeditated murder requires the victim to be the person you intended to murder. If you planned to kill one person, but killed someone else, at most you’d get involuntary manslaughter for the actual killing and conspiracy to commit murder and/or attempted murder for the planned attempted murder of another person.

And given your whole thing requires HER to be the target when she was an accidental killing, your whole argument is being tossed.

Reading is fundamental.  Also, have you not followed any of the previous reporting?

The boyfriend was not under investigation and he didn’t fire fire, as it turns out.

A previous boyfriend of Breonna Taylor’s who she had broken up with and who did not live there was under investigation.

The police investigated Miss. Taylor and found zero evidence of her insolvent in anything illegal, but decided that even though she was innocent they wanted to break into her home without warning in the middle of the night with guns drawn and body cameras off.

so they falsified evidence and lied to a judge for a no knock.

It wasn’t accidental that the police falsified evidence because the evidence they could find showed she had not received and packages for her ex.  It wasn’t accidental that the police lied in court.  it is unlikely that all the policemen accidentally turned off their cameras at the same time before they excecated a warrant they knew was gotten under false pretenses.

The only accident was that they didn’t know she had a boyfriend who was sleeping there that night.

She was the target. 

Reporting closer to the time of the murder showed the ex they were investigating turned out to be already in custody.

They knew the supposed target wasn’t in the apartment and Post Office confirmed she hadn’t received a package (hence the need to falsify evidence she had) and there was zero proof of recent contact with the suspect.

QED: She was the target of the raid even though they knew she was innocent and they had her ex.  if they thought he’d stashed something months ago without her knowledge, an ordinary daylight search with a regular warrant would have involved the police committing zero crimes and zero murders.
