Hogwarts: A Curriculum - Herbology
Herbology comprises four main areas of study: Botany (plants’ physiology and classification); Horticulture (the art of cultivation and plant maintenance); Herbalism (the medicinal use of plants); and Ecology (plants’ relations to one another and their environments). Students will study all four aspects of Herbology at both a practical and theoretical level, taking advantage of the copious natural habitats and microhabitats around Hogwarts and its environs, as well as the rare and non-native specimens cultivated in Hogwarts’ greenhouses. First Year 1. Botany: Common native wild plants (names and classification; identification and observation; plant anatomy and physiology) 2. Horticulture: Plant lifecycles (seeds and bulbs; germination and growth; survival and reproduction) 3. Ecology: Habitats and microhabitats (basic food chains; evolution and adaptation; wizard and muggle impacts on changing environments) Including preparation of soil, growing plants from seed, and basic safety precautions. Second Year 1. Botany: Common non-native plants (names and classification; identification and observation; plant anatomy and physiology) 2. Horticulture: Plant lifecycles (light, air and water; nutrition and growth; pollination and seed dispersal) 3. Ecology: Wild harvesting (good practice techniques and gathering ingredients sustainably; diversity of flora in local habitats; ecological connections) Including soil testing, ways of providing nutrients, foraging, and tool management. Third Year 1. Botany: Unusual wild and cultivated plants (names and classification; identification and observation; plant anatomy and physiology) 2. Horticulture: Plant lifecycles (sexual and asexual reproduction; growing from seeds, tubers, bulbs and cuttings) 3. Herbalism: Methodologies (common herbs and their functions; gathering and storing herbs; simple herbal remedies) Including basic potions and spells for plant growth and maintenance, propagation, and brewing. Fourth Year 1. Botany: Psychotropic plants (names and classification; identification and observation; plant anatomy and physiology) 2. Horticulture: Growth (leaves and photosynthesis; roots and nutrients; leaves and gas exchange) 3. Herbalism: Herbaria (plants for healing; seasonality and the lunar cycle; botanical illustration; pressing and drying plants) Including selecting and planning growing areas, pruning, and preparation and presentation of Herbaria. Fifth Year 1. Horticulture: Reproduction (flower structure; wind and insect pollination; fertilisation; fruit formation; seed dispersal) 2. Herbalism: Physic gardens (origins and history of the physic garden; designing and maintaining physic gardens; principles and practice of organic, biodynamic, and magical growing) 3. Ecology: Ecosystems (biodiversity; identification and measuring distribution, frequency and abundance; wizard and muggle interactions with ecosystems) Including planning and maintaining growing areas, growing methodologies, and Physic Diaries. Sixth Year 1. Botany: Dangerous wild and cultivated plants (names and classification; identification and observation; plant anatomy and physiology) 2. Horticulture: Health and disease (bacteria and viruses; preventing spread of infectious diseases) 3. Herbalism: Pharmacology (herbs and healing compounds; properties of herbs and their safe preparation; herbal recipes and formulations) Including safety and precautions, identifying diseases, and further brewing techniques. Seventh Year 1. Botany: Evolution, inheritance, and variation (genetic variation; natural selection; evolution; selective breeding) 2. Herbalism: Materia Medica (further plants for healing; preparation of tinctures, infusions, and syrups; floral healing) 3. Ecology: Conservation (history and development; impact of muggle and wizard activity; local and international preservations; successes and failures) Including advanced brewing techniques, fertilisation aids, and practical conservation. more: History of Magic Muggle Studies Potions

Well,
I wish you all a very pleasant March 20th
Happy frog day!
Fwiw while you can flood the abortion snitch internet hotline with lorem ipsum and memes, it is probably way more effective to make credible but vague claims that take time to sift through. Put in a valid county and zip code. The goal isn't to scream "fuck you" even if it's how you feel, the goal is to waste their time and make it as miserable and difficult as possible for anyone who has to go through these claims to act on them
I think it's worth noting that if you ARE going to report something to the snitch line, yes you SHOULD use actual counties and zip codes, but...also try not to pick counties and places that are full of already marginalized people? I know it's tempting not to do that extra research but sending EXTRA government/police attention to BIPOC neighborhoods even in the name of trolling won't help.
So, here, let me help you with that pesky research. These are the ten most affluent neighborhoods in Texas. There are a LOT of politicians and celebrities that hail from these neighborhoods. Terrell Hills - Bexar County, 78209 Bellaire - Harris County, 77401 Highland Park - Dallas County, 75209 Melissa - Collin County, 75454 West University Place - Harris County, 77005 Trophy Club - Denton County, 76262 Willow Park - Parker County, 76087 Southlake - Tarrant County, 72096 Fair Oaks Ranch - Comal, Bexar, or Kendall Counties, 78015 Coppell - Dallas County, 75006 What a shame it would be if people were to report these places as hotbeds of flagrant law-breaking. Gosh.
Smart thinking!
This is great since I've been picking zip codes and hospitals at random around their biggest cities. This is much more effective.
Oooh yeah I been sayin' we should just start reporting the politicians wives if they need names...
Normalize asking before touching. Don't get me wrong, i love when people lean on me and stuff, but i personally need to ask before i lean on people, and they're always taken aback like "why are you asking" because it's not obvious. It's not obvious to me that i can lean on you. It's not obvious to me that you're okay with it.
Hell, sometimes I'm really not in the mood for people to touch me. Other times i crave it. Normalize consent, not only for sex.
Green eyes are really pretty, i think
I may be a mess but i play bass and that is pretty hot of me so we should date
You good old frog is sick with the common cold. How to get unsick?
what the fuck. theres not even a fucking joke here. its just the fucking alphabet. i was expecting some kind of fucking meme like “gun” or “john cena” or something like that but no its just the fucking alphabet. here. on tumblr.com. 26 users just fucking banded together to write the alphabet. what the fuck, man.
I think the update broke them, and almost everyone else.

My beloved city and a good idea that is the difference between an enzyme and a good idea to have to do that for long as i t's not that is a mess of my homophobic household bills and a good idea to have a dark academia discord and then go home soon after all of this song and dance to the point where you know that i t's not that is a mess of my homophobic household bills
U know the moment we reblog this, three years from now a whole hoard of reblogs will crop up with ‘this aged poorly’ in the tags right
