Despite everything, this is so precious to me.
In every lifetime, in every timeline, in every universe, Crowley will wait for him.
In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you.

Happy Valentine's Day! 🩷 ❤️ 🩷 ❤️ 🩷 ❤️
We look at you and we see you together, and it just... It... it fits. You know? And you just know it's gonna last forever.
I remember a long time ago, someone on Tumblr asked a silly question: if you put Heathcliff, Mr. Rochester, and Mr. Darcy in a room together, which one would cry first?
I still can't believe that some people voted for Darcy.
Rochester and Heathcliff would both end up sobbing (after some ferocious violent threats, of course), while Darcy would be trying desperately to escape the whole time.

Fun fact: if you, as an adult, tell miserable children that their youth is the best that life will ever be, and that it's all just downhill from there, there's a percentage of them who will hear this and think "well, I guess I better kill myself before that happens." And a certain percentage of those will proceed to do that and succeed.
Anyway what I'm saying is that any time you feel tempted to say that, you should instead consider shutting the fuck up. Just because you peaked at 16 doesn't mean anyone else did. Most peoples' lives get better than that.
Literally this. When I was a teenager, so many adults (mostly men) loved to talk about how life only gets worse when you’re an adult. I lowkey never believed them because I knew I hadn’t peaked in high school, while they probably had. I’ll probably peak around 60 tbh 🥲😭. Still better than living your entire life thinking being 16 was the best thing ever. How pathetic

I rarely bring this up because it feels like fairly silly and low-stakes compared to all the other effects of american imperialism, but one of the funniest things when Americans deny that living in the imperial core and the center of global cultural hegemony confers them any sort of privilege over people from the imperial periphery is that like. In order for this conversation where you tell me you have no privilege over me to even be able to take place one of us had to learn the other's language, and it wasn't you.
I think the fact that by default the onus of learning the other's language to enable communication is always put on the other side is a pretty significant privilege on the cultural front.

I know the corpse of life of a showgirl has been lying cold for a while now but it continues to amaze me that taylor swift somehow managed to have a more regressive and misogynistic take about ophelia than shakespeare did when he wrote her in 1603
shakespeare: when you refuse to allow a woman to perform her assigned social role without presenting a viable alternative and deny her basic reality she has no choice but to commit the ultimate sin of suicide. and that’s bad actually
taylor: skill issue. she needed republican football boyfriend
How dare you hide this in the tags lol
god forbid a woman be monstrous
im not racist because i like indian food is so funny. brother, the british in the 18th century were proudly eating better spiced indian food, compiling dictionaries of indian languages and learning them, claiming ancient indian philosophy they were translating was superior etc while being racist. this idea of racism as complete cultural isolation from the browns is actually quite new.
