anyone remember that one podcast where this hollywood insider was talking about how it’s widespread knowledge within the industry that the last jedi sucks and was horribly made but no one will actually say anything critical about it publicly because disney is basically holding everyone’s jobs hostage?

why didnt they do the same for beauty and the beast, a movie that came out in the same year, had a comparable budget, was in charge of rebooting one of disneys most famous ips, and got worse reviews from both RT and metacritic? or solo, which was more expensive than the last jedi and also much lower rated, or infinity war, which also cost more to make than TLJ, has lower RT and metacritic scores, and opened behind both TFA and TLJ in the box office? the mysterious and omnipowerful Disney Review Assurance Committee didnt seem to care too much when dead men tell no tales was franchise-sinkingly awful and widely panned. while i think a lot of disney productions get better reviews than theyre worth, thats due to a lot of factors that dont involve weird truther conspiracies… even if disney were to rig the reviews to one of their major openings to puff up box office revenue, why would it be a LFL film specifically when they paid about the same amount for marvel studios and much more for pixar? and why is anyone supposed to believe that kyle newman, auteur of a movie about star wars fans where theres a joke about one of the main characters naming his masturbation hand leia, a reputable and unbiased insider?

whatever your opinion slash analysis of TLJ as a film/part of the franchise/cultural text/etc. is, please dont devalue it by attaching your whole position to complete, transparently bad-faith nonsense

I see so many people praise Canada on the daily, yet our treatment of LGBTQ people is horrible. My father wants to force me into conversion therapy AND it’s legal in Canada. My friend started the Canadian Coalition Against Conversion Therapy in response to my situation. She wants to change the laws so no one ever has to go through something like this again. my girlfriend wanted more than the amount of children you can adopt in skyrim so she taught herself how to mod it so that you could adopt them all, and uploaded it to a skyrim modding community so other likeminded player could utilize her code.
