For anyone curious - yes, this is recent. April 1st, 2021. Please donate, and if you can’t donate, share!
I read some of your posts about how being Latine isn't enough to approach Santa Muerte, you must be "welcomed" into the culto, and I agree. The Mexican bruje community treats Santa Muerte as open to all Mexicans, but they really shouldn't. I've seen how some USMexicans treat her (I'm USMexican too btw), and holy fuck! They have no respect for La Santa, no idea of what they're getting into, and some of these fucking pendejos even encourage GRINGOS to try working with La Santisima
*sips mate*
I've seen it everywhere in our communities honestly, not just from latines, but yes, it specially worries me when I see someone claiming latinidad and then acting the complete opposite way of how someone who knows their culture would act.
Sadly, it seems to me it's becoming sorta a trend to be a "devotee" of La Santísima, and most of them don't even know what it means to be one, or what it means to be called and/or welcomed into Their culto.
I think the best we can do is fight misinformation and appropriation when we see it, but even so some people don't really like to listen. They'll realize what they're calling unto themselves sooner or later...

Because I’ve seen other people expressing confusion about this, I figured I should attach my answer to this ask:
Wonderful information on Lakota hair and protocol. Thank you for sharing.
See I appreciate this so much because they taught me something and they weren’t shaming anyone for being in the unknown
Atlacatl: The last Pipil tribe leader of what is now present-day El Salvador.
The figure of Atlacatl himself has taken on a somewhat legendary aspect in Salvadoran folklore, symbolising the Pipils’ brave and stout resistance against the invading Spanish forces. In Antigua Cuzcatlán – La Libertad, you will find a monument dedicated to this heroic native.
BRUJA PSA
If you’re not Latino, of a Latino or African family, and specially if you’re not initiated~
DONT FUCKING MESS WITH LATINO DEITIES/SAINTS/PATRONS.
That includes yoruba, santería, candomblé, brujería, umbanda, macumbas, indigenous practices, and seriously anything latino-related. Don’t touch it. It’s not for you.
Our deities are not ones you can play with. They’re hardcore. Rough. There’s no way you can “control” the level of effect they’ll have in your life. You must be initiated, and once you’re, you literally offer your life to them. They can “hacer y deshacer a gusto”, do and undo whatever they want. If you fuck up, they’ll ruin your life. No joking, no exaggerating.
So please do yourself a favor and just stay away from them. Thanks.
Collecting Bones: Owl Pellets
So i know a lot of people who don't know about Owl Pellets
Owls can't digest bones, fur, and nails from rodents and birds so they regurgitate a ball of it all and when disassembled correctly you're can get some really good bones and skulls.
When you search up Owl Pellets you can find a lot of labs that sell them usually for educational purposes. So for you little vultures, witches, and goblins, go buy owl pellets to get some small bones and skulls for you hoards and spells.
Different owls have different diets and you can get different animal skulls depending on what you want, just know which species of owl eats what.
✨Go get those bones you lovely creatures✨
🍁🕯️Ash Divination🚬👁️
This is a step by step guide on how I divine with ashes.
Hardware:
White plate with 2 circles (see picture)
White candle
Energizing /divination tea
Lighter
A small item to mark “The present Position”
Joint /Blunt / Cigar, blended with diving herbs
Suggested herbs: Marijuana (Sativa hybrid), Lavender, Peppermint, Rose Petal (may cause headaches), marigold petal, Mugwort (mild-hallucinogenic), Marshmallow Root, Tobacco (Carcinogenic, use sparingly)
Step by Step:
Blend herbs using a grinder or mortar and pestle, roll into cigar shape
Place your time marker onto a clean white plate (It has to have a center circle) this location is “The Present Position” and marks your current situation - I used an unrolled crutch.
The plate is seperated like so, with time moving clockwise. If it’s eaiser to understand, you can change past/future to going /coming. And the center ring denoting the far off future
Write your question/query on paper, fold it, and place it under the clean plate
Smoke as you normally would, be sure to flick the ashes onto the plate but try not to be so conscious about WHERE you flick, just to keep some randomness.
Take notes of how the joint burns. Is it one sided? Does it keep going out? Is it hard to get a hit off of?
Once finished, look for shapes and symbols within the ashes, the space in between, and the overall position, direction and distribution of ashes. - Write these down and seperate them by category (Past, Present, Future, far Future, etc.)
I induce a trance state and let my mind wander to where ever these shapes and symbols take me.
Compare these symbols and visions to your question(s) and that’s it!
|| Tarot Cards || A simple guide for beginners!
Hello Y’all! First, I would like to introduce myself, many of you surely don’t know me! I’m Astral, a 19 years old Italian witch. I’m really into divination tools and I’ve been reading tarot cards and runes for six years now! Furthermore, I’ve been practicing palmistry for two years now.
Enough about me! Let’s focus on the topic of this post: Tarot cards
Understanding the deck
Minor Arcana
The Minor Arcana comprise four suits of 14 cards each. Usually, it comprehends: Wands (or, batons, clubs, or staves), cups, swords, and pentacles (or, coins, disks, or rings). Contrarily, the corresponding French Suits are clubs (♣), hearts (♥), spades (♠), and diamonds (♦).
The decks I’m working with comprehend wands, cups, swords and pentacle and more or less every deck – apart from the French tarot decks – should use the so-called Italo-Spanish suits.
Each suit represents mundane features of life:
Wands: Creativity and will
Cups: Emotions and love
Swords: Reason
Pentacles: Material Body or possession
Major Arcana
Are usually 22 cards in a 78-card pack and are usually numbered from 0 to 21, starting with The Fool and ending with The World.
These cards represent the life lessons, karmic influences and the big archetypal themes that are influencing your life and your soul’s journey to enlightenment.
The Fool, The Magician, The High Priestess, The Empress, The Emperor, The Hierophant, The Lovers, The Chariot, Justice, The Hermit, Wheel of Fortune, Strength, The Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, The Devil, The Tower, The Star, The Moon, The Sun, Judgement, The World.
How do I get to know the meaning of each card?
There is no precise method to memorize them, but I strongly recommend reading them every day.
A good way to learn the meaning of each card is to do a single-card ready daily.
A single-card reading is a great way to start your day and to familiarize with the deck. Moreover, it will help you learn to apply the cards directly to your life and it only takes a few minutes!
While shuffling the cards try to ask something simple such as: “What should I focus on today?”
Furthermore, many decks have as well a guidebook which will help you to understand the meaning of each card! Don’t be too literal about your cards and don’t be afraid if sometimes you pick the Death card. It happens, it is part of the deck and of our lives, but it’s meaning is not that you’re going to die. Contrarily, it may refer to a period of your life, to a relationship or to a friendship which is probably holding you back from achieving what you really want. Hence, the cards’ suggestion is to cut ties with what is holding you back.
Shuffling
You can shuffle the cards in many ways, but the most common is a simple overhand method.
Hold the cards face down in your receptive hand (the non-dominant one; for most people it is the left hand). Use the dominant hand to mix the cards and in the meanwhile repeat your question out loud or internally. You can stop when you sense you’re finished.
Cutting
Set the cards down in front of you and cut the deck without overthinking. Divide it into 3 piles with your receptive hand and then make them into one stack again.
Familiarizing with the deck
Shuffle and cut your deck even when you don’t want to read the cards, it will help you creating a bond with your cards!
What should I ask?
Obviously, before starting with any reading it’s very important to clarify the question.
So, start asking yourself what do you want to know and why do you want to know it. After spending a few moments, you should formulate a clear question.
Friendly Advice: Beginning with the word “what” can be especially helpful!
Different ways to read the cards
If you are a beginner, I strongly recommend starting with a single-card reading or with a Three-cards spreads.
Past, Present, Future (three cards reading)
Three-cards spreads are the easiest ones, they quickly clarify the situation and are simple to interpret!
First card: are the influences of the past that still affect the situation
Second card: the present – all that surrounds you either positive or negative
Third card: the likely future or outcome
You may want to try a few variations, so:
Who I was/ Who I am/Who I will be
or
body/mind/spirit

With nothing else to do on a gorgeous Sunday, my boyfriend and I walked down to the river yesterday. On the sandy beach we put down a blanket, and spent the afternoon with our books in the sun. In between chapters we discussed lost Aztec gods, Vikings, our ancestors, our beliefs, Quetzalcoatl, Jesus, energy and nature. In between sips of vodka lemonade I’d stick my toes in the blue river. When the sun began to set and the valley became cool and shadowy, we built a small fire.
Both further up and further down the river there were other groups congregated, maybe a dozen or so, more than we had ever seen, even after schools let out in the summer. Families picnicking on the beach, hikers with their dogs taking a siesta, and kids smoking blunts on the rocks. I half expected to see Lord Byron & co somewhere across the river.
Romanticism is the new normal.

Wh D Do you know how we get wool?
BY THE WAY, HERE’S THE SUMMARY FROM WIKIPEDIA PAGE ON PASHMINA:
“Goats used for pashmina shed their winter coat every spring. One goat sheds approximately 80–170 gram (3–6 ounces) of the fibre. See also cashmere wool.
In the spring (the moulting season), the goats naturally shed their undercoat, which regrows in winter. This undercoat is collected by combing the goat, not by shearing, as in other fine wools.”
IT’S NOT EVEN SHEARING WHICH CAN MAYBE NICK THE SKIN BY ACCIDENT
IT’S COMBED OUT
It’s as cruel as brushing your cat for loose hair
Like… dude… why are you replacing an actual cruelty-free organic material with something will SHED MICROPLASTICS
You are using polyester (crude oil) and a highly-polluting plant-based material I just
“Cruelty-free alternative” IT’S ALREADY CRUELTY FREE
Also, anyone who pretends that acrylic has remotely the same properties as wool or other animal fibres is either ignorant or lying. Acrylic is an “alternative”, sure, but it’s one that can alter a hell of a lot about the finished product.
Acrylic yarn is great and can be a good choice or the best choice for an item! An item made from acrylic will not be the same as an item made from wool!
Tagging @systlin just for her excellent and detailed commentary on the “different properties” alluded to by the above poster.
Cashmere, an animal fiber designed to protect the animal from harsh cold. Fine, soft as a dream, sustainable, biodegradable, breathable, can and is harvested without any harm to the animal. To be honest, mistreating the animal results in lower quality cashmere that does not fetch a high price. Does not fill the oceans with microplastics. Drapes beautifully. Is more expensive.
Acrylic; plastic. Feels like plastic. Coarser than cashmere. Unsustainable. Not breathable. Not as warm as cashmere. Harms the environment to produce. Does in fact fill the oceans with microplastics. Drapes like a plastic wal-mart bag. Cheap though!
