After finishing five chapters of deltarune, I feel a little more sympathy for Asgore and a lot less sympathy for Toriel than I did before.

I still love them both. I love flawed characters.

And I know they are both well-meaning.

But wow, there is so much to them!

I was shocked when I first saw ppl headcanon Kris as a 16-yo. I was like no?? They are 12 at best. Then I realised I was basing that assumption on how Toriel treats them.... Oh how I love you, helicopter goat mom who is allergic to showing negative emotions, will force her family to church for a week if she realises her son kissed someone, never being direct with her ex, wine party animal...

And you know what she would've wished for? To become a successful writer of course! And if Bear really loved her, he would have been happy with that.
