my two cents about pyroscythe and Maddy milkberry;

ok so I originally wasn’t going to make this post but I’ve seen so many peoples opinions that I don’t fully agree with and I wanna get my opinion out there.

I’m gonna start by expressing that I loved making ship art of pyro, I made a decent amount of it, but I don’t love it enough to continue making it if it makes the creators uncomfortable.

I understand that saying anything that would imply pyro personally attacking people that create said art is wrong and insane, that’s not an opinion I disagree with whatsoever, but I also think much of what he’s said has been amplified and taken out of context.

there is also a serious lack of anyone discussing Maddy, she is involved in this too and is the main reason this is happening, she felt uncomfortable with how extreme shipping culture has become, and yet people don’t even mention her.

all of you who have decided you’re going to disrespect what they’ve asked I have a question for you, do you ignore all boundaries? because there are plenty of creators who have boundaries against being shipped or general boundaries about how they can be portrayed and for the most part as far as I’ve seen those are respected and even policed by the community.

I am by no means saying go report people, or police others, you could let people know that it’s not within their boundaries if you want, I personally won’t because that’s not something I feel the need to do.

I understand that as a community we hate change, especially changes to character traits that have become popular, but in my opinion there is no reason to disrespect what they’re asking, it seems reasonable to me personally and you can have whatever opinion you want but I recommend following the boundaries.

There were some REALLY GOOD moments!!

Gem's teammates asking if she wanted to hunt Grian in parkour tag (and her saying no, bc he would laugh at her). And then her immediate regret when she realized he would be hunting her.

Grian parking himself right in front of Gem while he went afk during the break (and being very smug about it), and Gem returning to find him taking up her screen. Immediately after this she checks his rank and is amazed that he's in 2nd place overall.

Gem typing "Go G!!!" (she did also type 'gooooo cleo' but I think it's really cute when she calls Grian 'G')

After they both got knocked out of the 20v20 they found eachother in the corner and did lots of crouches and bops and smiling.

(And Gem called him a sore winner, because she knows he's gonna be annoying about it).

Grian accidentally calling Cleo 'Gem' early on in buildmart, and then admitting later that he'd already texted Gem to tell her his slip up (and that she was apparently fuming lol).

Gem raiding Grian and him complaining like "why has she done this, she knows I'm going to watch the football."

I really want to put together a little compilation, there were some really good moments. I'm not the biggest fan of MCC, but when I can make it rpf-y it sure is a good time!!

one genre of fanfiction that seems to have mostly disappeared since i became an adult is shenanigans-type fics. like not exactly crack but just "the gang goes to 7-11" type, extremely low-stakes plot stories. the beach episodes of fanfiction. i just feel like i don't see those around so much anymore. whered they go. i miss them :(

for my fellow psychotics who struggle with thinking someone is in their house, a method I’ve found that really works are these guys:

i put them on my front door and anytime it opens they ring. that way if i think someone has broken in or i see someone who isn’t there i can think back to if the bells have rung, and if they haven’t i can assure myself it’s not real. obviously it’s not fool proof, like if you are prone to auditory hallucinations, but it has really helped me calm down in time to avoid major psychotic breaks. it’s a real lifesaver

I’m not psychotic but for a long time I had extreme anxiety centered around people breaking in while I’m asleep, so I put bells on my bedroom door and it helped a lot, I definitely recommend this if you have any sort of issues like that at all
