Pulled pork tacos @ Harlem Food Bar, NYC

Cayenne pepper candied bacon. I make this several times a year - each and every time it’s been consumed in its entirety right off the baking rack. Salty, sweet, peppery, spicy, thick-cut goodness.

And, here we observe the nuisance that is my painfully uneven oven. Regardless - still so spectacularly creamy and gooey and thyme-ey and texturally pleasing.

Mise en place for potato gratin. I love, love, love...well, any starch literally surrounded by dairy.

My pumpkin pie game gets stronger every year. The crust leaves will win over any judgmental family member (results not guaranteed, but pie will still be really pretty).

A piece I did while in school for a competition - entirely edible. Made from cast, blown, and pulled sugar. Croquant as part of the base. We came in second (but our confectionary team scored higher than the winning team). ;)
