I came up with a special thing for Kiyoshi and Leo where Leo gets lifelinked to Kiyoshi due to an anomaly temporarily possessing Kiyoshi.
I'm really proud of it and the "curse mark" for it.
Leo slowly turned his gaze towards the much more kind looking professor, and Kiyoshi followed suit. Though, his frown only deepened when he watched Leo touch his left shoulder where Kiyoshi had bit him. With ever a calm smile on his face, Leo patted the spot, and for every single time he touched where Kiyo had bitten him…Kiyo wished he could disappear himself into the ground. He flinched, squeezing his eyes shut, choking on the taste of blood that wasn’t even in his mouth anymore.
“I’m assuming it’s about this.”
“It is. You should probably show him.”
“P-Please don’t…” Kiyoshi murmured, only for Nicolas to shake his head.
“It’s important, Mochizuki.”
Kiyoshi let out a shaken breath, tears bubbling up in his eyes all over again as Leo carefully took the top shirt off. Leaving himself in a white tank top, he quietly gestured back to his left shoulder. Trembling, Kiyoshi forced himself to look, only for the sight to not be what he expected. No bruising, no punctures thanks to anomalous medicine. There was however, a bright orange marking that looked like a pair of chain links in the shape of a heart. Kiyoshi blinked in puzzlement, tilting his head as he stared at it. For every curse mark he had ever seen before, this wasn’t it. He raised a brow when Nicolas nodded toward his right shoulder.
“You have one too. Where Leo says he had to bite you to make you let go.”
Kiyoshi blinked, looking down at his shoulder as he tugged his sweater halfway off for him to check. Sure enough, staring back at him was the exact same mark, only he had a vital sign running through it and a tiny infinity sign just under it. Heart stuck in his throat now, Kiyoshi couldn’t even produce words to speak.
“The anomaly that was running around your school had been a human in love with an immortal being of some sort, from what we gathered interviewing the dhampir from Darkwick UK,” Nicolas explained, tilting his head, “-it was twisting people’s emotions to get rage and fear to feed on.”
“Right…” Kiyoshi murmured, nodding slowly.
Leo hummed curiously as he peeked up from checking out the mark in the camera of his phone, despite having done so several times already, “So, what does it mean exactly?”
“We think that, when Mochizuki was possessed with the spirit, its desperation to love its immortal partner combined with his half vampire status despite the rage it caused. I believe that you’ve been cursed to live exactly as long as he does, down to the second. In other terms, your life is now linked to his.”
Kiyoshi’s eyes widened in shock, his legs growing weak enough under him that he was forced to sit back down. Thinking about the differences in his mark, he understood why Nicolas assumed that Leo was linked to him, as opposed to the slightest chance that his lifespan was now as short as the influencer's. Now though, it was like a weight had fallen off his shoulder, and yet immediately had come back as his head swimmed. What if Leo hated this and didn’t want to live that long? It was like a tidal wave over his head, swirling with fears that Leo would loathe him for this.
His fears were immediately shattered by Leo laughing like someone had fallen on their face, “A curse? That’s not a curse! That’s fucking great. I get to annoy the shit out of him for like what, four hundred or some odd years? I’m so in, I’m going to prepare. I will make so much content, even if people somehow forget the internet. Doubt they will though.”
Kiyoshi snickered softly, instantly feeling relieved and laying his hand over his heart as he smiled at Leo through teary eyes, “I am certain it will be the best four hundred and some odd years ever.”
“Hell yeah it will be. We’re going to take over the world,” Leo chimed, grinning at him with a glint sparkling in his eyes, “-oh and by the way…”
He turned to point at the chancellor now, furrowing his brow accusingly, “Don’t you dare move me to Obscuary.”
