@annoyingurl
My new mission in life is to impart this wisdom to as many people as possible
IT'S ALSO USEFUL IF YOU HAVE TMJ DISORDER
in both cases: always start on the lowest setting and wrapped in something soft!! if it hurts, stop!!
But, re: sinuses: look up a diagram of where they are, and when a spot feels particularly good or is particularly congested, hold it there longer. Definitely keep tissues handy for when it drains. Also it can help if your sinuses hurt like fuck but aren't actually congested (which happened when I had covid), but the effect doesn't last long.
Re: TMJ disorder: You can just push it against the joint, obviously; if your vibe has a small contact point you can REALLY dig in there (but again: stop if it hurts). But don't forget the whole area around the joint, around your ears, and up your scalp. There's a lot of muscles that tighten when your jaw is tight/stiff/in pain. Be especially careful when on a spot that's just skin over a bone without a lot of padding.
vibrators can also help if you have restless legs syndrome! Especially ones with fancy pulse patterns. When my RLS is severe I tuck them behind my knees or wherever & can finally lie still & sleep. You might need to wrap them in fabric to avoid skin irritation ymmv. There was even a paper published somewhere called "counter stimulatory devices for RLS" that was hilariously vague about saying the word "vibrator"
Once again adding also useful if you have dystonia or any kind of muscle spasticity. I have cervical dystonia (neck spasms) and dystonia in my left leg that's essentially like persistent Charley horse cramps from my neuromuscular issues and bought a Hitachi expressly for this purpose lol
A vibrator has been recommended to me to unblock clogged milk ducts for anyone that may apply to
I learned about the sinus thing and immediately bought a vibrator for that purpose. And yes, it DOES help with sinus headaches.
I use mine to cum as well
this video does more in 10 seconds than your fave’s entire filmography
For everyone who’s confused
I feel like im watching a wedding ceremony from a country i didnt know existed. Like, I have no idea how all this stuff is important but good for you?????
This is hella interesting.
btw she gave him a single which can be made in a matter of minute depending on pattern and size but he gave her a giant cuff which can take hours or even more than a day to complete based on just how complex the design and materials are. she wanted to trade something small and simple and he gave her a massive token of his love and respect for her as a fellow raver (and possibly his junior in the scene)
I’m glad ppl on tiktok are doing ok
good lord
YEAH I GOT NOTHING
i don’t understand a single sentence in this and i’m ok with that
I would genuinely like to know who to blame for making these children so disconnected from the concept of imagination that they think the simpler explanation for what they’re doing is that they’re projecting their consciousness into one of infinite realities where fictional characters are real.
topical :/
WHY IS IT TOPICAL
Me shouting at my rash ointment
Gotta add
I tried to annoy some youths on the Elizabeth Line and it backfired
I Became That Which I Sought To Destroy
They were playing music out loud. I hate that. I asked them to stop. They didn't. "Fuck it", I think, and decide to choose violence. I move nearer them, remove my own headphones and start doing Domingo Greek, which I know from experience is extremely irritating to be around. I figure anyone else nearby is already annoyed and I can't make it worse
But then I ran out of hearts. And I wasn't finished with violence yet, so I decided to turn on my own music.
"What are you doing" say the youths. I shrug.
The youths begin to bop along ironically.
"They hate this," I think. "I am winning."
"Hang on," says a youth. "What is that."
I realise something is going wrong but not what to do about it. "It's Italian," I mutter
"Are you Italian?"
"No, I just speak it."
"Oh shit. This goes hard actually," says a youth, whose bopping along no longer appears to be ironic "Is that rap? There's Italian rap? Whoa. Took me a second"
"What's it about?" says another youth.
My inner Public Transport Etiquette Absolutist and my inner Italian Music Evangelist are now at war. Fatally poised to decide the balance is the fact that I am a middle aged woman who has just had her musical tastes flattered by Youths.
"It's called Arresto Cardiaco, which obviously means cardiac arrest, and it's about a panic attack," I say. They lean over to peer at my phone.
"He must have some bad panic attacks," says the first youth thoughtfully.
"Maybe he gets them all the time," agrees another.
Somewhere along the way, and I realise I don't know when it happened, they turned off their own music and are now bopping along to mine.
I can't bring myself to turn it off.
Other passengers stare at me with open loathing. They are right to do so.
I literally could not beat them and I accidentally joined them. I am sorry.

LMAO this is so funny ♡♡
There was one of those hyperspecific polls that had an option like “your grandfather told you war stories that he never told anyone else” and now I feel like I have to tell the story about how a spider saved my grandpa’s life in WWII and how my family doesn’t kill spiders because we owe our existence to that One Single Spider
So to set the scene, it's the height of WWII in France and my grandpa—a 6'3" 20 year old upper Michigan farm boy—has been separated from his company after their temporary camp was shelled. My grandpa (who, I have to add, was nicknamed 'the Suicide Kid' at this point because he worked in demolitions and bomb interception and kept taking the jobs no one wanted with the expectation that he was never going home anyway) is scared out of his wits, wandering around the French countryside alone. He has to move at night and sleep in barns and sheds during the day to hide from people who most definitely want him dead.
On one of these days, he finds a farmhouse of a very jittery couple who agree to let him sleep in the barn, with the conditions that he sleeps in the barn loft and if he's found, they disavow all knowledge that he was there. He agrees, because he's exhausted and will sleep in a hay pile if he has to. My grandpa manages to fit all six foot three inches of himself into a feed trough stored upstairs and tries to get some sleep.
However, right when he's half-snoozing, he hears motors outside and sure enough, here are some very angry officers of mixed Nazi and Vichy make confronting the couple saying someone up the road spotted an American soldier walking this way. They wouldn't know anything about that, would they? No, of course not.
All the while, my grandpa—now trying to figure out how to either escape the barn unseen or how to fight off six? seven? eight? people at once—freezes up and waits for the inevitable. While he does, a HUGE spider crawls next to his head and onto the loft railing. For one second, he thinks about swatting it away, but that would risk him being seen and killed.
So, instead, he lays there and waits to either fight to the death or get executed in a feed trough. And while he lays there, the spider starts making a huge web on the railing. My grandpa's transfixed by this thing. He watches her go around and around, building a solid web before plopping herself off to one side and waiting for breakfast. At the same time, the officers finally go into the barn.
My grandpa can hear them searching around, turning over crates and checking animal pens. Then, he hears one say to check the loft.
And then another say, "Don't bother. Look at the spiderwebs up there. No one's been there in a while."
And they leave.
Because my grandpa didn't swat the spider away and let her build her web, the officers thought no one was there and left him alone. They drive off and my grandpa immediately thanks the farmer couple and hauls ass out of there as soon as he can.
After this, my grandpa refused to kill any spider, and his kids did the same. Because if it wasn't for her, he wouldn't have lived and would never have had kids or grandkids. So we owe her one.
There's the man himself. Go grandpa!!
EYE remember. They sicced the police and the National Guard on us. For exercising our constitutionally protected right to assembly and protest.
And I also remember how, especially under cover of darkness, cops became particularly nasty and brutal.
We protested to say Black Lives Matter,
People protested to Occupy Wall Street, the police brutally attacked them.
Water protectors protested at Standing Rock, police and the National Guard pepper sprayed them.
The police are attacking and killing unarmed protesters right now today at Cop City in Atlanta. So please let’s knock off the “imagine if people in the US protested like that” nonsense. Sometimes it feels like we stay protesting, like since before I was even ever born.
In addition to all the innocent and unarmed Black people they routinely murder, the police also did things like shoot protesters directly in the head with tear gas canisters, at point blank range. I remember police wilding out on students who were protesting at UC Davis campus to protest tuition hikes. I remember the police tear-gassing a young girl named Sarah Grossman. The cops gassed her in the face and she died from it. And the media even tried covering for the police by parroting their version of events that she had asthma.
I could continue…
But I do not begrudge the French protesters. Like, not at all. They are right to protest Macron’s callous neoliberal ass, and I hope they get what’s theirs. I hope they win. We are on the same side.
#Solidarity #PowerToThePeople ✊🏿
But yeah, let’s not divide and conquer by pitting “our” protests against “their” protests. Let’s not memory hole lived reality and dishonor all the protests that really truly did occur, and are still ongoing even as we speak.
@imma-just-sleep Sorry but you cannot just leave this deeply germane point in the tags:
When they protest, it’s good and heroic, but when we do the very same thing, it’s condemned and vilified. What was it James Baldwin once told us?
"When the Israelis pick up guns, or the Poles, or the Irish, or any white man in the world says ‘Give me liberty or give me death,’ the entire white world applauds. When a black man says exactly the same thing, word for word, he is judged a criminal and treated like one and everything possible is done to make an example of this bad nigger so there won’t be any more like him."
Also if and when Americans lose our jobs for striking or protesting, we lose our health insurance.
And not just for us, but for our children, or any other dependents.
So then when the police beat the shit out of us, we're bankrupted if we need medical attention.

HELP NEEDED
As I'm sure you've read in the news, my home state of Oregon is on fire and because of that everything is covered in thick smoke. This unfortunately caused my cat to start having respitory problems that resulted in him having to be taken to the emergency vet and put on oxygen. He's still there and we're not sure when or if he can come home. Double unfortunately, because he needs 24 hour care the vet bill is huge and I need help. I know times are tough and everyone is hurting but if you have a few extra bucks to spare I'd really appreciate it
