š New
We are gradually rolling out a new livestreaming feature in the Android and iOS apps. Itāll become available on web soon. One quick thing: If youāre using the iOS app and you have access to Tumblr Live, the search icon will be moved to the top right corner of your dashboard (if you donāt see the search iconĀ at all, see the first item under āOngoingā).
Weāve updated ourĀ APIĀ to expose the is_blocks_post_format field for Posts again. Check outĀ this GitHub issueĀ for more info.Ā Our API docsĀ have been updated as well.
You can now purchase Blue Checkmarks in the iOS app.
Weāve added RSS feed metadata to our newĀ blog viewĀ (e.g.Ā https://www.tumblr.com/staff) for those folks using RSS reader extensions in their browser.
If you have the reduced motion setting enabled, you will no longer see an animated GIF on the error page.
The ALT button, which exposes an imageās alt text (when available), has been added to the Android app.
š Fixed
Fixed an issue affecting the Explore page on web where the placeholder text in the reply field was not properly aligned when using the masonry (grid) layout option.
Fixed an issue on web where the in-dashboard ask form would pause for two seconds between being opened and receiving keyboard focus.
Fixed an issue on web that made the text in the login/sign up pop up very difficult to read when using certain color palettes.
On web, tooltips that appear when hovering over icons in the post footer will now disappear immediately after youāve moved your cursor off of the icon, instead of lingering.
Mentions in the post editor on web are once again underlined.
Fixed an issue on web where the site icons could be invisible on some pages when using the Cybernetic or Pumpkin palettes.
š§ Ongoing
The search icon is missing for some folks using the iOS app. Weāre working on a fix, but in the meantime, quitting and restarting the app should force the icon to appear (in the top right corner of your dashboard).
Many people are experiencing an influx of spammy followers. Weāre working to combat this, but in the meantimeĀ make sure to report any spam blogsĀ you encounter.
