I feel like not enough people know about Finnie the Unicorn so I feel a duty to tell Tumblr about her.

The Commonwealth games this year is being held on Glasgow. So for some context; the national animal of most countries is a prominent animal that lives there - the national animal of Scotland however, is the unicorn. Glasgow also has an extremely beloved tradition of putting traffic cones on statues (most prominently, the duke of wellington statue in front of the gallery of modern art) - like, the council tries to remove them, but the people are so persistent with this that he NEVER doesnt gave a cone hat, sometimes multiple at a time - sometimes theyre painted. I don't even know how people get up there, it's a tall statue...

Anyway, needless to say the mascot for the games is this beauty of a character designed by children in Glasgow, a unicorn with a traffic cone horn.

Like, look at her. She's so frigging cute. She has piercings and a star on her nose. I adore her.

Also my favourite image of her is the one for the Judo championships because she looks like she's choking a man to death.

Anyway I think she deserves more love and appreciation.
