We’re all the same. When I act, I put on a layer of the character I portray, during concerts I take off that layer to reveal another character called Ninomiya Kazunari, we must be sure not to lose the essence of our original being. It is bound to be difficult either way, but in my case, I find it much tougher when I’m fighting in my original form. This is how we usually fight, without the strength of the character we portray. That’s why, when there’s a fixed script or action for my performance, I feel more relieved instead.
