Are they really bulletproof!!!!
Armadillos. Despite reports of bullets ricocheting off armadillos, these creatures aren't bulletproof. Their shells are made of bony plates called osteoderms that grow in the skin.
Can you shoot through an armadillo shell?
Gun: If you legally own a firearm and are permitted to shoot it on your property, you can use a gun to kill armadillos. The gun must be powerful enough to pierce the armadillo's armor - which while not as tough as a turtle's shell, does provide some degree of protection.

During this time when the Austrian-Hungary empire was a mix of many cultural groups, there were a large number of people in the empire who didnāt want to be ruled by a monarch anymore and were looking to gain independence.
Bosnians and Serbians wanted to unite, and a group of men decided to take drastic action to highlight their cause. They were called the Black Hand Gang, and the most notorious member was named Gavrillo Princip ā known for the successful assassination of Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand and his wife.
Arch Duke Frans Ferdinand in Sarajevo
In June 1914 the heir to the Austrian throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, decided to visit Sarajevo to inspect the army.
Sarajevo was the capital of Bosnia, and there were many people there who wanted to independence from Austria. Bosnia was a small state which had been part of Serbia until Austria took it away and the Serbian people that lived in Bosnia were quite angry about this.
Franz Ferdinand had been warned that his visit could provoke trouble, but he ignored this advice and visited Sarajevo anyways. He wanted to demonstrate that his family was in control of Sarajevo and if he had stopped the tour, it could have been seen as a sign of weakness. Especially to those who didnāt want Bosnia and Sarajevo ruled by the Austrians.
Franz Ferdinand arrived in Sarajevo on 28 June 1914 and was met at the railway station to be taken on to the City Hall for the reception and speeches.
Whatās a Sandwich Got to Do With It?
Seven members of the Black Hand lined the route that the Arch Duke was to be driven through the city on. One of the men, Nedjelko Cabrinovic, threw a grenade at the Archdukeās car. The driver quickly sped away from the scene. The grenade bounced off the back of the Archdukeās car and rolled underneath the one behind, and exploded seconds later. Two people were injured.Cabrinovic swallowed hisĀ cyanide capsuleĀ as instructed, and jumped into theĀ RiverĀ Miljacka ā which was only 2 feet deep. He didnāt die but instead was captured and arrested.
The other men along the route from the Black Hand had scattered out of fear of the failed grenade launch.
There were many factors said to have caused the outbreak of the First World War, but Iād argue it all started with a sandwich!
Ferdinand attended a reception at the city hall and complained about hisĀ treatmentĀ in the city. Later, the Archduke decided to visit the city hospital to see the people who were injured in the grenadeĀ explosion. It was decided that the motorcade should take an alternate route to the hospital, avoiding the city centre altogether.
The driver of Ferdinandās car wasnāt informed of the change of plan, and so he took the original route.
Turning intoĀ Franz Josef Street, the general who was a passenger in the Arch Dukeās car noticed that they were taking the wrong route. He argued with the driver who then made a turn, slowed the car and began to reverse out of the street.
Gavrilo PrincipĀ who happened to be in Franz Joseph Street, buying aĀ sandwichĀ at a cafe, came out and realised the opportunity he had. He aimed at Ferdinand from a distance ofĀ five feet. His bullets hit the Archduke in the neck and his wife, Sophie, who was travelling with him, in the belly abdomen.
The first missile of the world!!!!
The first ballistic missile was the V-2 rocket, which was created in Nazi Germany during World War II. It was invented by Walter Dornberger and Wernher von Braun, and was first used in 1944, to attack London, England. Between the first launch and the end of the war in Europe, over 3000 V-2 rockets were fired against Allied cities. A decade later, the Soviet Union and the United States had designed Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs), which were able to reach the other side of the world.
A "ballistic" missile needs to be guided for short periods of its flight, but it mainly follows a ballistic flightpath. This means that its trajectory is most affected by gravity. Ballistic missiles are designed to be launched at such a high angle that they leave the atmosphere before returning to Earth. Even V-2 rockets would reach the edge of space.
What made the V-2 rocket different from earlier missiles was that it used a liquid fuel. Rockets that use solid fuel, like gunpowder, need to draw in a large amount of oxygen from the air around them. Instead, the V-2 contained a tank of very cold, liquefied oxygen to burn the fuel. The liquid that was burned was a mix of alcohol and water.
When World War II was near an end in Europe, Wernher von Braun and Walter Dornberger surrendered to the United States military. Other engineers who worked on the V-2 construction were captured, and taken to the United States and the Soviet Union. Many V-2 parts were collected, and brought back to the allies' home countries.
Wernher von Braun, Walter Dornberger, and many others were taken to the United States in a mission called Operation Paperclip. They were set to work designing missiles and rockets, including ones for the NASA space program.
