Time is a fickle thing. Harry Potter slips through time almost 50 years into the past and has to deal with teenaged Tom Riddle, a very questionable business he started almost by an accident and the fact that he can only return back to his time by living through the years in between and not screwing up the timeline in the process.

Harry Potter had been left at the doorstep of Privet Drive number 5 the day Voldemort fell.

He had been told his parents died, that no one else wanted him... Yet the day before his eleventh birthday, a man showed up on the doorstep claiming to be James Potter, his long dead father.

Harry hated them. From hate stems desire for revenge and right there is the start of the world shattering into pieces.

Need help finding hp fic!!

I’ve been wanting to reread this one Harry potter fic that I believe was on ff.net but I can’t find it! - It’s a heavy angst fic where Harry gets paralyzed from the waist down and is severely insecure about it.

- Then Crouch(disguised as moody) corrupts Harry with dark magic by telling Harry the magic will help his walk again. Instead it just binds him to Voldemort.

It could be a tomarry or Harry/voldemort fic but I can’t remember! It was so good and if it’s deleted can someone send me a digital copy? I’ll Venmo you $5 cause I miss it sooo much 😭

Harry argues with Sirius. A lot.

Harry Potter, the Boy-Who-Lived, armed with the charm and ingenuity of Tom Riddle is able to sway Fudge and in time, Sirius's name is cleared.

And joy of joys, Harry gets to move in with Sirius. He's ecstatic! Both he and Tom Riddle had yearned for a parent to come, take them and care of them. But just like Tom, Harry has grown bitter.

No one came; Remus is a coward and Dumbledore thinks his plans are above a child's safety. Harry knows how to take care of himself. He's independent, proud and stubborn, with a witty mouth and too much resentment to keep it shut.

Harry is, in fact, a lot like Sirius had been at that age. Sirius may not have hidden behind masks as easily, or perhaps had an equal desire to sharpen his tongue to the enticing silver, but he was a bitter rebellious boy; a product of desire to become independent and escape both his heritage and his parents.

But then the years in Azkaban dulled the memories, the idea of James, of Harry have become idolised; unreal expectations built on blurry memories.

Expectations, that Harry doesn't fulfil.

That's where clash comes from. Harry is the blood son of James Potter, he should be the very same man, just smaller, but he is not. He's half Tom Riddle, he's been raised in fear and with survival at all costs in mind, he's killed a man with his bare hands once and no one wanted to try telling the Minister exactly how Peter Pettigrew got decapitated.

James Potter at Harry's age would've barely tolerated Harry and only because he was a Gryffindor.

And so Harry and Sirius clash. They argue, they scream at each other and it takes all of Harry's will not to hunch as if to mellow the impact of an incoming strike.

The day Sirius draws his wand during an argument, unthinking and blinded by ire, Harry runs.

He has long known Wizards could harm each other in manu vicious ways, he wasn't about to risk his chances whilst still under the Trace.

Twelve-year old me thought there was something really cool about how Voldemort's appearance was described in the books.

So I've read your posts on how weird the feminization of certain characters in ship dynamics is, mostly Sirius, and I totally agree, and also with your point about how weird it is to treat the whole concept of femininity and masculinity in such essentialist ways the fandom often does.

My question is, what do you think about the feminization of Tom Riddle that goes on in some parts of the fandom? Like, it's not as prevalent as what happens to Sirius, Draco, Snape or Harry, but I've noticed that the TMR fans who do often posture themselves as above the people who do it to the other characters, like it's more canon compliant to do it, and I'm like?? Are we reading the same books? Maybe it's also about TMR fans themselves sometimes being a bit more pretentious for lack of a better word, but idk, I just don't get it.

We can all headcanon what we want of course and I don't have any issues with that, but what gets me is how essentialist people get about this stuff and even go as far as to do it to a character whose whole arc is about his hubris and inability to connect with love and empathy and other traditionally feminine concepts.

Hmm, that's so interesting because I don't know if I've come across much feminized Tom Riddle in my time within this part of the neighborhood.

It's funny, because I've found that I'm not particularly fond of the feminization of Harry within Tomarrymort (I mean, it's more prevalent on the Mort side, it seems). I'm also cognizant of the word 'feminization' and the cultural bias/prejudice that comes along with it. Instead, I'll point to my pet peeve when Harry is portrayed as physically weak or weak-willed. That he would accept imprisonment or switch sides does not really fit with who he is as a character. (Now, don't get me wrong--I love a good whump and torturing Harry into compliance because he's completely broken inside, but there's got to be a good reason why he gives in.)

You might have to be more specific in how you see this feminization showing up with TMR just because I'm coming up short on how this plays out with Tom.

I think feminisation of Tom Riddle/Voldemort is a mockery, a way to show him he's been beaten and entirely at the mercy of others and especially Harry. I actually drew that before, because otherwise I see Voldemort as a gender fuck and a man out of social convenience.

Unless it's fem!Tom one way or another, of course, he's not that feminised by the creators as far as I can tell

Okay so a majority of you wanted consistent updates, but there were also a good chunk who wanted it to be a complete surprise or with breaks. So, what I’m going to do is, if you would not like to see updates for it block the tag #MementoMoriWip and I will make a post saying hey I’m finishing/posting the finished animatic up you can unblock it now.

I think I’ll also add a break before just in case. That said, I’ve completed two more scenes! :D

Currently I seem to be able to do about one to two scenes a day, (each taking 1-2 hours) so this is probably gonna take a while since I still have 13 scenes left. And that’s without counting the two lip sync sections I have planned and a devastating animated bit for Snape in a scene.

But I’m actually so happy I’ve gotten this far with it? I’ve always seen YouTube videos of animatics and wanted to do one, but I never really got past the planning phase for them.

Even after Lord Voldemort has been defeated, there are still remains of his reign.

Also tagging Harrymort because I think Harry knows about the statue and refuses to destroy it or let anyone else do so. Without Voldemort he's nothing and no one, a man without purpose after his counterpart fell.
