Persist
There are people heavily invested in making you feel like the world is becoming a worse place. It's not true. You can sit at a table with gay men and lesbian black women and enjoy food from Vietnam, build a team that's in the former Soviet Union and Israel and Germany and Japan and the USA, you can meet a thousand people who share your rare challenge and an expert specializing in it with the click of a mouse, you can march freely in our streets, you can call the President whatever you want, you can call-out a corrupt Justice system and call bullshit on the FBI, you can fight guns with words, you can befriend a sheik and debate and inform radicalized Islamic teens in facebook chat, you can build a business from nothing, you can learn a trade or skill or art for free from videos online, you can stay in touch, you can build a family that would be illegal just years ago. You can wake up almost every day and decide you're the luckiest person in the world. You can turn those few dark nights into bright opportunities. Nobody said life was easy. We have a long journey, but it's getting better. In the history of our planet, we are the luckiest and we can use that momentum to fix the few things, the many, that we desire to make great. There are many bad folks out there, there is radical Islam, there are cops and unwell people who shouldn't have guns, there are diseases, and there are endless challenges. There are far more good willing to act. Who are acting. We're on the right track.
