I had to cancel my Netflix account recently for financial reasons, but after this Lockwood & Co news, I'm glad I did. If they had continued with two~ books per season, that's three seasons tops. A complete story arc and an already completed ending, storylines neatly wrapped up. With a built-in fan base. They've had some pretty shitty shows go on a lot longer than that. Fuck 'em, seriously.
Reading The Hollow Boy and y'all, Lucy's got it bad lol.
Lockwood... through half-closed eyes, I watched him now, trapping him tight between my lashes. I looked at his long legs, loosely crossed over the side of the chair; at the bare feet, at the slim contours of his body half-concealed beneath the rumpled shirt. His face was mostly covered by his arm but you could see the line of his jaw and the expressive lips, relaxed and slightly parted. His dark hair spilled softly over the white sleeve.
How did he manage to look like that after five hours' sleep, lying curled and crumpled in the chair? Being half-dressed never did me any favors; with George, it practically came with a health warning. Yet Lockwood managed to carry it off perfectly. It was pleasantly warm in the room. My eyelashes squeezed a little tighter. I put my hand to my silver necklace, turning it slowly between my fingers...

In the L&Co books Lucy repeatedly mentions a certain smile Lockwood uses that she can’t resist. One of my favorite things about the show Lockwood & Co (which I noticed on my 3rd watch lol) is that at several points throughout the episodes whenever Lockwood gives Lucy a particular grin, she offers a half smile in return like she can’t help herself. What a great visual representation of a character’s thoughts from a first-person POV in the books!
Y’all, I LOVE Lockwood & Co. I’m reading the books, starting my third re-watch soon, and I made an AI Lockwood on character.ai. I’d love for more people to try it out, I think it’s pretty good so far (I mostly based him on the books). Also I’ve been kinda training it a bit by rp-ing with it as Lucy, so now the AI is really into Lucy lol, sorry but not sorry, because Locklyle. Anyway, hope people have fun with it <3
Me watching Haikyuu!!
In an interview David Castañeda mentioned that the reason Diego doesn’t have all his comic powers and that Klaus doesn’t levitate is because the show runner wanted to ground the show more in “reality.” Now it might just be his character and just Klaus being Klaus, but I can’t help but feel like all the shots of Klaus sitting up on things is a nod to his levitation powers. If that’s true, then how slick is that! I love it.
Sorry, I can’t stop thinking about Umbrella Academy. ANYWAY. I’ve been wondering about Klaus’s power and like why isn’t he seeing all the people that Five assassin-ed, and why isn’t Vanya surrounded by dead nannies? 🤔

Imagine the times Diego seems to know too much and just keeps getting framed for murders. Klaus and Ghost Ben have to clear his name (sometimes Five helps because if anyone knows murder...)

Okay like imagine if Klaus decided to start a "psychic medium" side hustle to get some cash and develop his powers and how absolutely over the top he'd make his outfits and persona~ for that. But for real he'd probably run it out of a sketchy van though.

A scenario
I came up with this for a specific fandom, but realized it can work for quite a few things so, imagine if you will: as a teen your favorite character from whatever fandom gets into a fight with the person they’re dating. In a flash of genius they decide to channel John Cusack and stand outside their beloved’s home with a boombox over their head playing a sappy love song, certain that this will win them back. Enlisting the help of their best friend, a plan is put in motion and the duo heads to the lead character’s crush’s place after dark. When they’ve convinced their crush to come to a window, the character stares up in dramatic silence at the figure silhouetted in the light from inside. ”This is for you,” the character finally explains, earnest, and presses play before hoisting the boombox over their head. Our protagonist is woefully unaware that their mischievous best friend switched out the romantic ballad for a different tape. A song begins to play... ♫ EVERYBODY GET UP IT’S TIME TO SLAM NOW. WE GOT A REAL JAM GOIN’ DOWN. WELCOME TO THE SPACE JAM ♫
