i have this little headcanon that at some point maybe after retiring shane is like alright ill bite lets check out this whole music thing and then he gets very methodical with it and is basically like hm where are you supposed to start? and david (boring dad) is like well the beatles were pretty popular so shane listens to all of the beatles and then all of the pet shop boys and so it goes on and on until he gets to like fetty wap and ilyas like Baby welcome to the big leagues im taking over your education

I really have to give props to Christina Chang for her performance throughout ep. 6. Like, the coming out scene yes, obviously, but even though she doesn't get all that many lines beforehand she does so well portraying someone trying to put on a nice face and failing miserably.

The Vampire Marleau manifests at his bedside with his Scary Mirror tucked beneath a cloak. “sincerest apologies, consort of my liege rozanov,” he says, bowing deeply. “‘twas a grave error upon my part to have struck you with the unholy strength bestowed unto my godforsaken form upon my forsaken resurrection. as penance, i offer you the gift of certainty. look into my mirror and know with surety the time and manner of your death, for it shall not be at my godless hand, lest i be struck down and burned upon the pyre at long last.” he unveils the mirror and holds it up to shane.
