Stein goes even further than Sanders on several key issues, and one of them is her economic platform. She has proposed a “Power to the People Plan” that guarantees basic economic human rights, including access to food, water, housing, and utilities; living-wage jobs for every American who needs to work; an improved “Medicare for All” single-payer public health insurance program; tuition-free public education through university level; and the abolition of student debt. She also supports the reinstatement of Glass-Steagall, separating depository banking from speculative investment banking; the breakup of megabanks into smaller banks; federal postal banks to service the unbanked and under-banked; and the formation of publicly-owned banks at the state and local level.

She's also never held public office outside her town and thinks vaccines cause autism. But sure, elect her. Experience never accomplished anything in politics.
God bless you Elan, you are my hero.

Watch: Poet G Yamazawa nails what it’s like to grow up in the U.S. as the child of immigrants.
Brilliant.
Stopping girl hate doesn’t mean you have to like or get along with every other woman. It just means you don’t tear women down for being women. It means you let go of your internalised misogyny, envy, and jealousy of other women. It means not using gender based insults to undermine other women. It means you don’t push other women under the bus for men. It means you stop holding other women to the arbitrary and restrictive gender roles you’ve been socialised into.
Which also includes trans women
^No. That’s a totally separate issue. I mean, it’s a legit issue and I agree that transphobia is a thing, but internalized misogyny and girl-hate in the female community has nothing to do with trans"women"
No, it's not a separate issue. It's ending "she's prettier than me-it's not fair." It's ending holding them to a higher standard of femininity and then pointing out when they fail.
Also- it's trans women. Not "women"
STOP
That last picture KILLED me!
Women do not have to:
be thin
give birth
cook for you
have long hair
wear makeup
have sex with you
be feminine
be graceful
shave
diet
be fashionable
wear pink
love men
be the media’s idea of perfection
listen to your bullshit
have a vagina

Alessandria Rhines performing “Truth is…” at Button Poetry Live
Many black women can remember a time when they’ve been made to feel less like a human being and more like a sexual object, and a Minnesota-based slam poet has just perfectly summed that feeling up.
The poem goes on to call out the way certain men “try a new shade of woman for the week like a fur coat you can’t afford, and eventually return.”

Why isn’t using sign language more common in society? like??? Not even just communicating within deaf communities but for everybody to use with anybody?
I feel like this should be standard learning material for those working in loud workplaces or with machinery, or maybe idk for talking underwater or when someone else can’t hear you at a concert. Or what about when somebody is having a panic attack and can’t talk, or just isn’t all that comfortable with voicing their feelings?
Why isn’t nonverbal communication more integrated into our society? Cause it should be.
Fight for mentally ill minors who can’t get mental health care because their parents don’t believe in it.
One of the most difficult things was watching a close friend fail out of classes in hs because he had severe ADD and his mother wouldn't medicate him at all.
