many of you know i've been working on a documentary on the fireside bowl for the past year and a half. as a thank you to everybody who has given me their time and sat down to do an interview on camera with me, i have given them an original bowling pin from fireside.
for the first time ever, i'm making a very, very small number of these available to the public to offset the costs of not only the documentary, but a brand new website as well. up until this point, every penny put toward production has come from my own pocket. by buying one of these 10 pins, not only will you get a piece of history, you'll be helping to preserve it.
the website is going to list every show ever played at fireside, and each date will be a click-able link to a new window where users can upload photos, videos, set lists, posters, fliers, etc. from each individual show. there will also be a section where fans can write their own memories of each specific show, and of the fireside in general. it is a huge undertaking, but should be a pretty incredible resource for everybody once it's up and running.
if you'd like to donate, or help in any way, feel free to get in touch with me here or at [email protected]. anything you're willing to spare (whether it is your time, your stories, some of you old artifacts, or just cold hard cash) is greatly appreciated.

Do you have a girlfriend? Why or why not? When was your last one?
at the current time, I do not have a girlfriend. the why/why not is complicated, I suppose. first and foremost, I’m happy being alone. not “single” necessarily, but actually alone and spending time without anybody else around. so for me to invite somebody else into my life on a consistent enough basis that we would be in a relationship, they would have to add something significant to my life.
I know that going in with that attitude, it makes it a lot harder to find somebody, but it’s hard to change who you are when you’re happy with who you are. I’m also picky. physically, not so much (though I definitely think physical attraction is important in a relationship). but emotionally and intellectually.
I don’t like to play games, and a number of the girls I’ve spoken to lately have been all about that. making plans and then cancelling last minute. reading messages immediately after I send them, but not responding for hours, or sometimes days. I just don’t have the time or patience for that. if I were desperate to be with somebody, maybe I would be more lenient, but like I said, I’m absolutely fine being on my own.
am I open to a relationship? definitely. and I’ve been in a few different ones over the past year. my last one lasted about 4 months, and ended about 2 months ago. I’m just not losing sleep over trying to find somebody. if it happens, it happens, and i’ll be happy to give somebody new a try. I’ve just found that the harder you look, the harder it is to find what you’re looking for.
hope that answers your questions!
