There is indeed....so much about this creature.....it's baby....just a wierd baby....i'd make two but one finished and one half done. And they'd be like sibblings or lovers or whatever o feel like they are to eachother....inspiring...
I made my own pride flag!
It was really really fun to make!!! And I made sure it fit into the window (mostly)
the great thing about putting it in the window is that it gives a rainbow glow and it won’t get the Christian south Treatment, ie: stolen or burned.
But also, I know it seems like the south is this big monster that will eat queers alive, but I am telling you that, at least Texas, is not as scary as you think.
Everything is going to be ok, I know that the media says that if you are so much as holding hands w/ your partner that you will be run out of town but honestly, I believe that these are a scare tactic to separate us and make us hide so they don’t have to be uncomfortable.
People will not look twice, and those who do are looking twice are not worth your time.
Still stay safe, but you are loved by the trees and the clay, by the cows and humidity, by the water and the sun.
We have always been here and no rocks or stolen flags are going to change that.

this is part of an ongoing multimedia series called ‘Childhome’ that uses found objects and video footage from the house a grew up in, as a way for me to process childhood trauma
Self-taught sculptor Romain Langlais turned to bronze, a metal he now incorporates into works that are inspired by nature rather than man. His pieces visually pull apart the natural objects that surround us—building works that appear as bisected rocks, boulders, and tree trunks. These sculptures showcase glistening bronze protruding from their insides, unleashing the perceived inner energy of each object.

anyway blackout poetry not just as an art form, but as an act of violence against other works of art
taking a piece of text that someone probably put their heart and soul into creating and using it as your raw material, cutting out everything that you deem irrelevant to the point you want to make
i mean imagine cutting up a painting and using it to make a collage, or taking a marble sculpture and carving pieces out of it to make a different sculpture
just to be clear: i love blackout poetry, im not criticizing it here. i am just waxing poetic about it. i dont really know where im going with this i just have Thoughts about art being destructive
