i'm seeing lots of "grace and rocky rescue simon and he lives in erid dome" takes and comics and art and fanfic, and don't get me wrong i fucking love it. however

we're sleeping on the idea that grace and simon both survived the rapture, but while simon was on filament station grace was a researcher for the coi. or maybe they were both on filament station. or in jail! put grace in the horror universe with simon! what angsty takes do people have on that one i need to know!

fanfic doesn't have to be good but i have only read the phm book so i do not know the ryan gosling ryland grace and i have only seen the iron lung film and have not played the game/watched it (too spooky for my delicate sensitivities. somehow.) so i'm probably missing lore that i'd need for fic writing

who knows maybe i will finally warm up my writing muscles again and do this myself but unlikely

hot take: the reason the milkman is the person all these people cheat on their spouses with is because he's the dad who went to the store for milk but he got so much that he was cursed to never go home. Now he goes house by house looking for his loved ones to deliver the milk to and he keeps feeling like the person he meets has to be his wife... and he's hot so people keep cheating and perpetuating his curse

The game treats the Miis like they’re real people and makes zero mention ever that they are not, and only ever refers to them and their POV as if they are real and you are their caretaker! While playing this honestly messed with my head pretty badly at times and made me worry a lot on if I was hurting real people/not doing enough for real people while I was playing!

I cannot imagine how much worse this would be for someone who’s unmedicated, non-dormant, or experiencing breakthrough symptoms! Do please be careful and PLEASE remember to have a way to reality check yourself while playing the game!!!

Also: If you’re not psychotic, please reblog this anyway!!! It may not seem like a big deal to you but these kinds of things are REALLY important to know for us psychotic folk in a world that is both hostile and negligent to us and our needs!!!

the sheer number of laws that make immigration hell for a disabled person, esp if you're trying to access healthcare in the place that you're moving to, are horrendous

the generally bigoted nature of global governments makes it even harder if you dare to be racialised, queer, religious in a way the government doesn't like etc., and to put the cherry on top poverty/low income makes leaving the country to live in another one while following said country's laws for immigration impossible

you don't think that we'd go where we would be believed and have access to real care if getting there wasn't intentionally made difficult and expensive?

i swear the amount of times i see people talk about fleeing places like the usa and the uk and you look and feel a sense of sadness as you realise no, they haven't found an easy way to jump through the flaming hoop they just never had to jump through in the first place

the number of people who have reblogged my addition to this makes me a lil sad and a lil happy. sad that so many people identified enough with this experience to wear it on their digital chest with a reblog, but happy that i was able to put this into words that let people recognise this experience for what it is.

the way i was treated when my mental health declined was borderline psychological abuse, and i'm still unpacking it. i hope everyone else who found my reblog addition relatable finds the support they need to process it too - it's taken me 8 years to find it, so it can take time you just have to get there.
