Bit of a sad upset for you all. I got kicked out of the homeless shelter I was staying at for refusing to throw away my HRT pills. They told me that the pills and being trans is why I became homeless and quote, "It's going to ruin your life," genuinely speaking. However, HRT is what keeps me going through all of this. Thankful I have the first two nights or so paid for at a motel, but I'm trying to figure out whatever I can to get help, especially with how funky the Midwest weather is. I know next monday the high is supposed to be 19° and low of 7° so I'm trying to find shelter for that day too.

It is not inherently better for the environment. That is the thing. When you begin trying to explain that local, sustainably sourced animal protein is better for the environment than imported plant proteins that are farmed 3,500 miles away using slave labor, they start tuning you out. Down is better for the environment than polyester stuffing, leather is better for the environment than pleather. We should work on making animal agricultural practices more sustainable instead of trying to shame everyone into eating plant products that are also farmed unethically and unsustainably.
