here's a depiction of Dionysus, or Bacchus, or Liber. I found his depiction really interesting in the Metamorphoses.

Jackie Jester - Concept cover 3
I think this is gonna be the last Jackie Jester cover for a while. I'm gonna put my effort towards Illustrating the first issue. My goal is to get it done before the end of the summer, and to probably post it here.
ended up getting the opportunity to print my own design on the Riso graph, for my internship with artist Julia Arredondo! (Big thank you to Julia) I came up with this two color manticore design, and I like how it turned out.
manticores usually have wings in most modern depictions, but they don't in earlier ones, and while i was doing a little research I saw one Illustration with scorpion arms in the place of wings. I thought that was cool.
Jackie Jester - Concept cover 2
another concept cover for my in-progress comic series! I think coming up with all the different outfits is the most fun part.
Jackie jester - Concept cover
just a fun little fake cover for an issue of a comic series I've been working on for a while.
third and final CMYK painting for now.
I wanted to get one done a day in time for a specific event, and I succeeded, and it ended up being a good thing I got them done in time, even if not in the way I originally intended. Even If this one ended up just a little rushed.
another CMYK painting (last post was a spider-man one)
this time I got a bit more watercolory with it even though it's just colored ink and acrylic Glazes.
New technique I was trying out by applying an underpainting of magenta and cyan ink, doing acrylic glazes of red, yellow, and blue, and then finally doing a thin outline of the characters in black.
sort of recreating a four-color printing process but with painting.
It's a tone of fun, so I did two more of these that I'll post later.
Mancat - an eight page comic - created by Elliot Noon
I made this for a class, and I'm really not sure if I'm proud of it, but I thought it was worth posting, even if it's really not intended for the tumblr format.
portraits from Methods in media, made with a variety of methods, and medias.
book cover project for illustration in context
the title had to be once upon a time. I didn't pick it, but i did pick the speed racer-Esque concept for the illustration.
