The Summer King Chronicles is an epic fantasy coming-of-age adventure for readers 11+, a Lion King-meets-Lord of the Rings story in which a young gryfon follows a prophecy to right the wrongs of the past, save his pride, and discover his own destiny.

Rise of the Dragon Star is a new tale set in that same world a generation later, with a new calamity rising.

A Furry Faux Paw is a contemporary (set in our modern world) story about a teen artist in the furry fandom, trying to escape her hoarder mother's physical and emotional clutches before she is forever buried in the Stuff.

Don't Ask If I'm Okay (May, 2023) is about a teen still mourning the death of his best friend after a year, and unable to break out of the stigma that he should be over it. His grief slowly morphs into anger, until he must decide whether to let it destroy him, or ask for help and bare his broken heart for all to see.

Hellloooo! Thanks for following so long and for reading ^_^ I actually have only a handful of first editions left and I’m keeping them… however! A couple of folks have had luck finding them on eBay and they’re actually not too expensive. If you find one I’d be happy to send a signed bookplate (sticker) to put inside it!

My resolution last year was to do one thing before bed that would make my morning feel easier, and that’s become a daily habit that I’m carrying into this new year.

Some nights even filling up the kettle and setting an empty mug out for my morning tea felt hard. But I was always thankful for it in the morning.

Other nights, one thing would lead to another, and I’d wake up in a clean house with everything ready to go.

And, on a rare few nights, the one thing that I could do to make my morning easier was going straight to bed and allowing myself to rest.

What stayed the same each day is that I would take a moment to think of what I could do for my future self and do it, even after a hard day. And I would wake up knowing that I had done my best and any effort—no matter how small—was a kindness to myself.

Hey, you are not an embarrassment for not knowing how to do certain household chores/basic self-care. They do not come naturally to us. A lot of it takes practice! Maybe you had a neglectful guardian. Maybe you had one that was very coddling and never thought to teach you. Maybe you haven't lived in a place where these things were available to you or needed. Doesn't matter. It's okay to not know and far more common than you might realise.

That said, this website provides very simple instructions on how to do everyday tasks such as making your bed, using a washing machine, cooking different foods, washing dishes, taking a shower, etc. All you have to do is use the search bar to find the task you're struggling with, and it'll come up with what you need + other related how-to's:)

If you're having trouble navigating it, let me provide you with some examples:

“Humans are inherently selfish--" Then why do so many cultures value hospitality, to the point of dictating it in their religions? Why is it so common for hosts to offer their visitors their best food, and as much of it as they can? At some point, multiple cultures decided that they knew what it felt like to be alone and vulnerable, and promised each other to never let those who stay with them feel that way. That doesn't sound very "inherently selfish" to me.

No. Humans are animals as much as the fish and the bear. We are pack animals who have survived by strong bonds and community.

Do not buy the lie that humans are inherently evil. Societies can trick you into believing this, but it's not the truth of humanity.

Humans crave being together, sharing together, and thriving together.

Capitalism just wants you to believe we're destined for selfishness.

This is Shanidar 1, affectionately nicknamed 'Nandy'. He was a Neanderthal living between 60,000 and 45,000 BCE. He was born with deformities in his ears, a withered arm, and paralysed legs. This would've left him almost entirely deaf, unable to use one arm, and with an almost debilitating limp. Not only that, but during his lifetime his left eyesocket sustained a severe fracture, which most likely would've left him completely blind in one eye.

He lived to between 30 and 45. An incredible age for an ancient hominid. This man couldn't have been a 'sTrOnG pRoViDeR mALe' and yet he lived to the Neanderthal equivalent of mid-80s. Why? Because his family must've taken care of him. His broken eye showed signs of healing, and his withered arm was amputated (perhaps one of the earliest examples of surgery). Despite his existence providing no 'logical benefit' he survived. Because he was loved.

Compassion and love are deeply rooted aspects of human existence. Don't let anyone trick you into thinking otherwise.

An advancement in Reva’s story!! 

Finally! x_x This is old as butts!

How old, you ask? The pencils were drawn as an assignment in my Comics 2 class, waaaay way back in Fall 2012, and inked as my Final in my Comic Book Inking class in Spring 2013. The colors are recent, though, from these past few days. I’d never colored comics this way before, so it was an interesting process and I learned a lot. For now, I’m glad it’s done. I may go back in and edit some minor things at some point in the future. We’ll see. Inspired, I think, by a documentary about North America’s deserts that featured a special little kind of mouse…

I’m not sure what I’m going to do about page 2, since the blueline I inked over for this was printed by my instructor OTL Maybe just ink it digitally or something….if at all… Inks Pencils Thumbnails/Layouts Cover rough Speedball India Ink on 11x17 Comic Book paper (Bristol), inked with a Raphael Kolinsky brush. Minor use of Deleter Screentones. Adobe Photoshop CS6 for colors
