Daily Doodles, Day 226
Today, we have: Horse! Because I just spent the last few hours drawing and colouring multiple iterations of this exact horse. I will be seeing this image in my sleep.
Free service with ads: Well, if I'm not paying for it they have to foot the bill somehow.
Paid service with no ads: Well, if they're not funding it with ad revenue, they need to charge us something.
Paid service with ads: Well that's bullshit.
"We used to be a paid service without ads, but now we're putting ads in it! If you want the ad-free version you have to pay more for preeeeemium": Fuck you fuck you fuck you
Free service with no ads: Okay so these guys are stealing my data

Wormhole, 2026 Digital paint (sketches -- pencil on paper) Prints No AI was used in the creation of this image. I've been working on this painting off and on for over two years, and figuring out the composition alone was a serious challenge. I didn't think it'd take this long to complete, but the timing's rather fortuitous with Trek's 60th anniversary right around the corner! đđ⨠Sketches below the cut.
Amaryllis before and after I told her she was pretty.
after much deliberation I have completed a simple task that took less than 10 minutes, and I'm happy to report that this time it only cost me about 3 days of dread
Some thoughts.

Hi guys!! Thank you so much for blogging. This post, into the one or two people who have donated to my coffee, I still need some more money in order to move away from my stalker so if you wouldnât mind encouraging your friends to donate even one dollar, I could really use your help!!! donations work best but thanks for sharing it around anyways!! Daily Doodle, Day 225 (holy-)

Daily Doodles, Day 224
Today we have a Tadpole!
Totally not a stolen idea, someone I know definitely didn't doodle one of these were I can see a couple hours ago, 100%.
âit sounds like youâre justifying their actions-â i am. theyâre a fictional character. iâm okay with anything they do all the time. hope this helps.
this shit from the comments is unironically so fucking sad to me. this is where weâre at now? âarenât books supposed to have morals?â genuinely letâs all just pack it in and go home, we tried the whole âexperiencing life and art at a greater complexity level than an eight year old can handleâ thing and it didnât work out, somebody break the news to oscar wilde, weâre done here. âbooks are meant to teach you something.â christ.
In France if you suffer from hair loss as a teenage girl and cannot afford a real hair wig the school will try and force you to go to class bald. The school will make you buy a chemotherapy turban, you will buy two different so that the school can choose which one they prefer and you will prove that they are chemotherapy turban and not hijab but once you wear it they will change their mind and say it looks too much like a hijab and insist on you going bald or buying a real hair wig that you cannot afford.
If your doctor makes multiple documents confirming that you suffer from alopecia because of stress and the medicine you have to take for your epilepsy and that wearing a bonnet or something is recommended for your mental health as youâre not ready to go out bald in high school as a teenage girl, instead of admitting they are wrong the school will accuse the doctor of lying and report him to the Ordre des MĂŠdecins (equivalent of the General Medical council). Your doctor will find himself asking you for a document stating that you are not Muslim in order to defend himself and prove that no he wasnât colluding with you so you could wear a substitute for hijab.

In France if you are a North African nurse at a public hospital and wear a fabric surgical cap they will try to make you remove it because apparently itâs a hidden hijab. They will accuse you of going against secularism and when youâll argue that they are discriminating you by assuming youâre Muslim for a surgical cap on your head they will change their angle and claim that you should wear nothing on your hair because you wear the same surgical cap in multiple bedroom which is unhygienic apparently (which is a bullshit argument cause you wear the same scrub/uniform in different bedrooms as well). They will go as far as claiming that disposable scrub caps (you know the thin papery ones?) are not okay to wear in a hospital even if you change it regularly. And then they will fire you for a lack of hygiene because you wear a surgical cap.

All of that will be done in the name of secularism and womenâs right despite having nothing do with either quite the opposite.
The teenage girlâs story is also not just about racism and Islamophobia itâs also about ableism as the girl is convinced that the real reason the school is trying to push her out is because she had an epilepsy crisis in class and nobody knew what to do and the school nurse was absent. It could have ended badly had her best friend not known what to do to help. Apparently it was bad enough to cancel class for the rest of the day and the teacher was shocked to the point of ending on sick leave.
oh and don't forget that many parts of France mandate by law how much skin women must show in swimsuits, which they claim is about not getting street dirt in public pools but which is disproportionately enforced on Muslim or even just Middle Eastern/North African women
(and of course is also some forced nudity misogynistic bullshit in general, to boot)
"baby names" is a real misnomer because they're often permanent
there's three rules of naming babies:
what do the initials spell? (I was *this close* to being DMV)
what are the the different abbreviations/contractions/etc? (Michael Hunt, William Stroker, Richard Small, etc)
the name that sounds cute on your little gurgling bundle of joy will still be the one they have when they are an adult filling out a job application. Remember that.
Optional Bonus: if your baby will ever have a job one day, ensure that their email address (if in the standard First Initial, Last Name format) will not be something embarrassing.
Sincerely, someone who had to email an S. Lutz (slutz).
you were born in 2006? what are you? a Honda Civic?
