hey you should ask your doctor about MAOIs. my SSRIs werenāt working so we tried those (iām on nardil) and it did wonders for my mental health. just saying as a suggestion because based on the fact that you put the fucking onceler on my dashboard in 2022 the meds you take right now donāt work

By using antibodies from a human donor with a self-induced hyper-immunity to snake venom, scientists have developed the most broadly effective antivenom to date, which is protective against the likes of the black mamba, king cobra, and tiger snakes in mouse trials. Described in the journal Cell, the antivenom combines protective antibodies and a small molecule inhibitor and opens a path toward a universal antiserum.

Ok, thatās fucking wild.
This guy Tim Friede wasnāt any kind of researcher or doctor. He was just a snake collector who thought it would be cool to try and become immune to snake venom by injecting small amounts and working up. For 18 goddamn years. He nearly died at least once.
Later, actual scientists heard about him and realized that since he survived his blood must be full of antibodies that neutralize many kinds of snake venoms. Using a sample of his blood they were able to develop an antibody cocktail that seems to be effective against many types of tropical snake bites, a sort of universal antivenom.
Absolute mad lad benefiting humanity.
pre-fame hozier tweeting this casually in 2012 like it isnāt the best fucking joke iāve ever heard in my life, decimating all my brain cells instantly
in concert in columbus, ohio last august (2024) someone in the pit was holding up a sign that said ādo you want a snack?ā and between songs Hozier stopped and asked them if they had silica gel packets, bc he already knew the joke was coming, and they said yes and he said āletās have itā and they threw a silica gel packet on stage and he said āthe safety manager doesnāt want me to have these anymoreā and he put it in his pocket āfor later.ā

This is missing my FAVORITE cell phone Iāve ever had: the alias 2
It was PERFECTLY weighted to spin like a beyblade foreverrrr when it was opened the long way. The buttons had little displays so they would show as a keyboard when opened hamburger style and would switch to numbers when you opened it hotdog style
last week I described my email inbox as a Sisyphean task to my coworker because that day I genuinely just could not get my email count down lower than 15, every email I opened and replied to would immediately be replaced with another new message, and today I walked into that coworkers office looking dejected again and she said āwhatās wrong? Another syphilis day or whatever?ā
iām starting a collection
