A coworker of mine shared a story that she interviewed for a place, they asked her if she could become and animal, what would she be. She said dog, because they are loyal, friendly, and protect their family. The interviewer said that's wrong, because dogs are lazy. The correct answer was giraffe, because they reach high for leaves and that's a sign of ambition...

One time I was at a job interview and they asked me how I would describe the color yellow to a blind person. My mind went blank and we just stared at each other in silence for a good five minutes before my braincells finally activated and I said it’s like feeling the sun’s rays warming your cheeks. They told me I was too poetic and they needed someone more grounded for the job. This was for an HR position btw
[Image IDs: Image #1: Reddit post titled: When are the stupid questions during interviews going to stop? Body text reads: I had an interview and part way through, the interviewer asked me what my favorite drink is and I said water. He gave me a weird look and said "C'mon, you can do better than that." I didn't know what to say so I didn't say anything and we just sat there and looked at each other for about 15 seconds in silence. He stops the interview and said I'm not what they are looking for. I'm not sure what that was all about, but i feel like i dodged a bullet.

Once was asked in a job interview "if you notice something wrong with your car, do you attempt to fix it yourself or take it to a mechanic?"
I said, "it depends on what the issue is, if I have to replace a bulb or battery, thats something I can do myself. It also depends on how expensive the problem. Usually I'd ask my brother-in-law who works on cars his opinion first and if he could fix it instead of the mechanic (he replaced my brakes for me once). But yeah if the problem is big enough I'd go to the mechanic. So what does this question have to do with the administrative assistant position again?"
His reply, "oh well, one answer means you are capable of relying on others' expertise and the other means you don't work well with others."
I didn't get the job.
