Dogs' dreams are easily entered but you'll have to understand that as the dog has less desire to question the dream or disrupt its natural flow, the dog is in charge of the dream. You may remain lucid, but you're going to be doing whatever the dog wants to be doing. You will both be chasing rabbits on all fours, but this time the leash doesn't exist and you can keep up instead of dragging behind or just standing there yelling for the dog to come back. Which is what the dog would have dreamed of anyhow.
Dogs never forget their dreams, but they always forget that it was just a dream. So every single time they see a rabbit in the waking world, they'll forget that the leash is real and that you can't join the chase.
What about cats' dreams?
Nobody knows. Their little skulls are impenetrable.
