forever a fan of the "i got an intrusive thought/something you did reminded me of this person during sex and i came my brains out immediately what the fuck?" trope.

it can be applied to so much! your ex, your best friend, your worst enemy, past traumas, dead bodies, animals, your sibling, your parent... the list goes on and on!

i particularly like it with brothers (surprise, surprise), like a lover accidentally says a childhood nickname during sex and your vision whites out. but instead of being like "EW i need psychoanalyze myself RIGHT NOW" you roll with it bc it felt good. you're comfortable enough with the fact that you don't wanna fuck your brother that it rolls right off your back. so you tell your partner to keep saying it.

there are two routes from here the next time you see your brother:

you develop a pavlovian response to the nickname, so when your brother uses it (like he had your entire lives) you get weirdly horny and THAT begins to shake your nonincestuous confidence.

your partner uses it for you in front of your brother (maybe to tease you bc they know what it does to you or because it became a pet name in and out of the bedroom. whatever, doesn't matter) and he looks confused, a bit hurt. that's his name for you. queue weird possessiveness and guilt.
