listen i hate to be that person that’s like “i hate kids” but REALLY! i just hate it when kids run up behind me and start petting momo and then they, in turn, get offended. like dude......she’s working. she has a WHOLE VEST!!! SAYING!!! DONt PET!!! and if they can’t read there’s even a picture......
sorry, i just hate it that people think they are entitled to petting an OBVIOUsly working dog.
why is it so hard for people to just ignore service dogs and not talk to them? do people have any idea how annoying it is to hear ‘hi dog’ ‘puppy’ ‘pupper’ etc 500 times a day when I’m just tryna shop for toilet paper
i have always found psychology interesting. specifically neurological disorders. maybe it’s because deep down i knew there was something wrong. regardless, i sometimes worry. am i faking it? is all of this me trying to live out this “cool” “quirky” life. do i want to feel special? i don’t have symptoms other people do...i must be faking it.....right?
Them: How are you coping with your mental illness so well??
Me:
Movies and TV likes to stereotype people with schizophrenia by making them horror movie villains or people who do awful things.
People with schizophrenia are NOT evil or scary. They are valuable, wonderful people who struggle with a mental illness.
STOP DEMONIZING SCHIZOPHRENIA.
who needs drugs when i can stare at a hole in the ceiling and watch as i vividly hallucinate bugs crawling in and out of it and it blinking at me like an eye
People often think it’s wild that I sleep with a well lit room and my computer playing youtube fairly loud but the thing about psychosis is, I can’t. Be. In a dark quiet room alone.
People like to say “that’s messed up. Get help” as if “help” suddenly cures people. Like my guy, I am on the max dose of my antidepressant and antipsychotic, I’m also on a mood stabilizer, an anti anxiety med, low dose naltrexone for alcohol cravings, I go to therapy twice a week, I go to AA multiple times a week, I go to CODA, and I see my psychiatrist every month. Newsflash, I’m still mentally ill and I still have symptoms and think “fucked up” things. I’m still not cured.
momo has been doing great with training! she loves the outdoors and going everywhere with me. i swear, she is the most mellow dog ever. once she gets used to her surroundings she just lays back and waits to see if i need her. she is so smart and still just a baby! i couldn’t be more proud! task training starts this summer!!! so excited!
Little psychosis things #9
When you go grocery shopping and everyone in the same isle as you wants to kill you.
Little psychosis things #10
When you hear the same phrase from a song going on repeat.
Little psychosis things #12
When you hear music but then realize your earphones aren’t even in your ears or plugged into your phone for music then realize it’s just a hallucination.
Little psychosis things #14
When you hear the phone ringing over and over again but it’s not even ringing.
