random hc that damian’s first language is actually arabic. he also has an accent when he speaks in english since it’s his second language but it’s not too strong, it’s very subtle and barely there if you don’t pay attention. damian usually thinks and counts in arabic, sometimes muttering his thoughts out loud in it too. sometimes he even talks in ‘arablish’, randomly switching from arabic and english with certain words in the same sentence. 

whenever he is super upset or lost in thought he’ll be speaking in his mother’s tongue. or maybe even use it to his advantage to curse at his brothers when they annoy him, leaving them all confused and not understanding a single thing.

well, except for jason.

jason actually learned arabic during his time under ra’s and talia’s wing. so whenever damian says anything insulting in arabic towards him, jason shoots one back in arabic too but with a slight accent, not too strong. this leaves the others to just stand there completely confused while they watch jason and damian go into a whole arguement in a foreign language they don’t understand.
