Hello my Spectating Spectres! You may know me as @inconspicuous-clovers on this site.
Since the app where I have been sharing my cosplays for the past three years is going down, I decided to share them with you all!
*uproarious applause*
This will be a place to keep all of my cosplays together, and maybe interact with other cosplayers. This is a safe space, which means
No bullying allowed.
If you want to see my regular content, reblogs, fanart, oc posts, and other fandom and nonfandom related ramblings, follow me on @inconspicuous-clovers , where I also follow from.
This game has been very influential in my life. In fact, it actually got me back into cosplaying. So here are some pictures of my Nightguard oc, [Redacted]. I really like how these ones turned out.
A very Happy 11th Birthday to Five Nights At Freddy's!
This game series has been a major part of my recent life and, in a strange sort of pipeline, has gotten me into a lot of the horror series that I love today.
Here are a few pictures of my updated Michael Afton cosplay that I did at the local horror con just last week.
I dont think a series has impacted me as much as Marble Hornets has. This has been one of my favourite series to cosplay, and I hope I get to do more some day soon!
for some reason, "you can just do an art project" unlocked a realization that "you can just make art" wasn't able to access.
like yeah i know i can set aside an afternoon and sketch a still life.
but also i can, like. select a random marine creature from a hat and then research them and then spend a bit of time in the evenings and weekends over the course of a few weeks making a diorama.
or i can make an abstract sculpture out of scrap cardboard and masking tape, and then paper mache over it, and then paint it.
or i can draw something with markers and color it in with crayons.
i dunno why it took me so long to realize that, in the same way that i can revisit the games and hobbies that i enjoyed as a kid, and i can orchestrate "presentation parties" so my friends and i can flex our slideshow animation skills, i can also Make Art, Grade School Style (and not just Grownup Art/School Style)
This game means a whole lot to me. It was one of the things to really get me into cosplay, and I've had a lot of lovely times in the fandom. Thank you Limbolane Games for sharing this work of art with us!
[Several photographs of a cosplay of Arthur Lester. In some photos, John Doe leans over his shoulder or otherwise interacts with him. More detailed ID in Alt Text.]
You can't separate us, not unless we're willing to do so.
wanted to test out some ideas and ended up having WAYY too much fun as Arthur (+ my John functioning as a kind of puppet). I'm genuinely kind of baffled at how great this whole thing came out, this was fully supposed to be a crappy little test but i am Obsessed
a few bonuses under the cut
He sits :3 and Arthur smile caught in 4k! Plus, as a note, most of this outfit is store-bought (aka, was already in my closet), but the brown vest is actually handmade by me! it's reversible and blue on the inside. :) Also, shout out my theatre director roommate for helping with my makeup. He informed me that I "didn't look sunken enough" and fixed that. King.
Also brief shout out to the yellow contacts because I am blind as SHIT irl (-8.5 vision) and prescription halloween lenses are so hard to find so. shout out lensupermart for have my back
This was what I was Actually intending to test; a shared cosplay with half John and half Arthur. I really like the idea of it, and for a trial run it came out ok! But definitely needs some finagling if I ever want to wear it out.
Finally: jarthur selfie 🥰💛yay
If you read this far, thank you im love you lmk if you want anything from the gas station
More Elias cosplay. Though, this time it's not about the outfit.
I have freaky Bouchard eyes, God given, so, conveniently, I can use them for any Elias fanart I do. If I need a reference for an expression, I just do it myself.
When I did my first art piece, I asked myself "how do I convey this expression on an unsettling, unblinking man?" Then I remembered that 'I' am an unsettling, unblinking man, and my stupid eyes are under utilized.
advicetip for making ocs. if you find urself making a dude. especially if hes a villain & especially especially if hes gonna fall into like a sexyman category like hes a dapper trickster or a mad scientist or summthing. consider changing nothing abt the concept except you make her a woman instead. and you will have a good character i feel
i understand the inherent fear of not being noticed after showing the world something you deeply connect with... but a possible rejection or dismissal still wins over certain nothingness. people can't know about your characters unless you talk about them, draw about them, write about them, make memes about them, be obnoxious about them. you curse the lack of sunlight when you've got doors and windows barred up like a badly-made zombie survival tv show's side character that will most likely die three episodes later
