It's so funny to see the Ukefication of Stolas because that's usually what you see in Fanfictions bastardizing a character and not the canon.
Like he went from having this bomb ass demon raven form that was genuinely intimidating. He could form portals to anywhere in the universe. He could turn someone to stone with a mere look. Even when he was playing helpless, it very clearly was always a game to him because he is quite literally untouchable. And he is very aware of that to the point that someone like Striker isn't even something he considers worrying about.
He is the threat. That's what made his character so interesting because he didn't need Blitz, he wanted him. And it wasn't Stolas just wanting his own emotions given back to him, he actually enjoyed who Blitz was. His rejection was seen just as much as a game, because Stolas was so entitled that he saw Blitz as playing a role just like he was.
And that offered some multifaceted nuance with Stolas perhaps under valuing his own privilege to make decisions like this while over valuing the actual relationship him and Blitz had.
And now he just sucks as a person and is boring to watch. Like I don't care? For all his flaws, I would rather they don't fix him because the fact he sucks is the last shred of character he has that isn't pure Ukefication. I think him being unlikeable is literally the only thing keeping him interesting.

i GENUINELY adore emberlynn. I think the idea is amusing enough, and think she could've been a really charming one off human character. Her design is adorable, especially her sinner one! I love me some of these characters and designs^^
But like, I also really really REALLY don't like how much they're poking fun at certain internet subcultures. I don't like her character in a meta way.
[So in the following paragraphs I'm not mentioning the awful things emberlynn does for the sake of remaining critical, and because I'm obviously looking past a character pov and narrative sense. Only in the problems I have with what the creators intended when making emberlynn]
Ngl, I may be just too much of an "outsider", but I'm pretty sure that a surprising amount of many big internet communities at the very least resonates with the common "weird internet person to clown on" consensus that most have outwardly. Sure, it may not be a significant amount. But like, even if you're not into neither, but also browse/used to browse through "cringe" (or what people perceive as such which is stupid) communities, I don't think that many people will like what emberlynn embodies at all.
It may just be a me thing. Sure, I admit so. I'm still kinda skeptical and maybe petty (?) with hellaverse stuff despite liking the ideas so much. Still, I reiterate, I don't think they're being nice about emberlynn. Like yeah people like that exist, and they're extremely happy being how they are, I believe we don't need any more shaming people for being weebs or into "cringe" stuff that they genuinely enjoy. You may not like it? Well everyone has their tastes, and that's perfectly fine, you can privately complain about such stuff, but at least ensure that no one is being shunned away for being themselves and don't go out of your way to make fun of other people you deem as "cringe".
That's what's happening with emberlynn and EVERYTHING she embodies (I repeat myself a lot, I know).
There are tons of people in the Hellaverse's own community who could've resonated a lot with emberlynn, but felt ashamed at how she was portrayed and made fun of.
Ok this is very much a hot take, but like, I think they kind of created emberlynn to clown on people that belong to "weirder" communities (not saying they are, but they're unfairly being framed as such), as if to say "hey look at THOSE loser weirdos!", like no one in the earth is or has been like that, especially ppl in spindle or even Viziepop HERSELF. I don't know much about vizie, but I'm sure as hell she might've been the sort of "weird theatre kid" person way back. My take is that they're poking fun at that archetype of fandom enjoyers to sort of say how they're so above it all and how they're so weird.
Maybe I'm just picky. Or feel too strongly about this, which is fair. But I don't like the vibes that give off all of emberlynns appearances in a meta sense. I don't think it's funny to shame people from ANY communities for enjoying and getting very versed in them.
Also I don't like the "internet bullying: do's and dont's" gag from the valentine merch. I get that it's a show with morally grey characters but as always I have bad faith and I think that may or may not reflect something from the author.
Like, if you're REALLY trying to emphasize that everyone is weird and that "CRINGE CULTURE IS DEAD. Embrace weirdness!", then why are you making fun of the weaboos who loves fictional monsters and write fanfics? Why are you joking about cyber bullying? Why are you portraying an already shamed on kind of communities with the harmful archetype that such "weirdos" stalk and sexually harass their crushes alongside becoming obsessed with them? Why do you make fun of their interests and portray them as overly horny? (shaming them for how they experience their libido more specifically, and throwing it out to yet another stereotype) Why do you portray them as losers when their hobby remains during adulthood and isn't "temporary"?
They blatantly used emberlynn, a stereotypical caricature of the internet/fanfic/dating sim/weeb subcultures that exists for the sole purpose to be made fun of and be "cringe", to sell out merch about how "cringe isn't real, be weird!!!". Emberlynn's case is one of pure hypocrisy in favor of capitalizing on merchandise.
Nonetheless, Viziepop really IS the kind of person to encourage, enable, allow or even come close to online bullying/harassment towards people in fandom (or in general) that don't support her. So it's no wonder she'd make fun of other internet subcultures as well as online bullying and call it "comedy".
[Not to mention how she says that she hates the term "fanfic" when describing writing. And yet she does sort of make fun of emberlynn for writing a spicy demon fic... Like. What's your consensus? Do you only hate the stereotype of "fanfic" and deem it as "thinly veiled homophobia" when it's about your work? Do you make fun of it like everyone else when it's hetero fanfic? Do you think the same about the rest of fanfics? I cannot stress enough how much it saddens me that some hellaverse fans out there could've been actually ashamed of resembling emberlynn, just because the show frames it as bad. I cannot stress enough that Viziepop and SP may be starting to actually harm and shame the fan base on some levels beyond vague posting about it, but rather integrating it into the shows themselves.
My point still stands. Emberlynn, they will never make me hate or laugh at you. And if there's anyone out there who's felt bad for being that kind of fan, don't listen. The line that Stella gives about Stolas “Staring at the ceiling dissociating” while they were having sex confuses me alot and I want to talk about it.
This line heavily implies that Stella has been raping her husband and has done it multiple times. Alot of people say that this isnt SA because she didn’t want to have sex with him ether, I disagree with that. Sexual assault is pretty much never done out of attraction, its always about power or anger. Its an ASSAULT, especially since Stella is in a powerless position of being forced into an arranged marriage, her taking that frustration and loss of autonomy out by raping her husband is not something I would put past her, especially since she is shown to be a malicious person.
BUT, the reason this line confuses me is because its a throwaway line, for some reason. It NEVER comes up again, Stella says it basically in the background talking to her friends and you might not even hear it. Its quite clear at least to me that this was only put in there to make Stella look terrible without really considering the implications especially for a character like Stolas where the whole point is that he is exploring his sexuality again after being trapped in an arranged marriage. Maybe it will come up again but I don’t know it REALLY seemed like an afterthought.
That is a major issue that I have been having with the whole 'Stella raped Stolas' implication that people decided to run with.

I looked up uryimarts and I know nothing about Dark Crystal, but they mainly draw The Skeksis. The TvTropes page describes them as humanoid, and they can talk. I went through uryimarts's NSFW tag (because I have nothing else to do with my free time) and all characters look and written like adults.
Chai did explain himself when anon asked why he followed the sh0ta account. As someone who uses twitter (with adblocker) before that shit stain bought it, Twitter does not show the posts from everyone you follow especially if you follow a lot of accounts. There have been times I missed posts from users I follow, and I only follow 50+ people. If you follow someone who tweets a lot, it tends to drown out other people you follow.

to all the people who feel the need to explain their trauma to me please just know that in the most respectful way possible i really really really don't care. im not your therapist or a priestess who's going to absolve you of all the guilt you have surrounding it. i also have trauma. feeling sad or scared is a natural part of the human experience and trying to make it so you never feel any negative emotions is not doing your ability to develop and grow any favours. exposing yourself to negative emotions in a controlled environment where you can safely walk away and come back whenever you need is actually a very healthy way to learn how to cope on your own terms. you will eventually experience these emotions outside of a film or book even if you try to avoid every slightly upsetting situation or challenging emotion. it's better to know how to handle such things when they happen. i promise it'll be okay.
Not going to be linking to this person's goofy blog, put they're point blank lying by saying I edited Max to be about proshipping when it was previously about a sibling grooming a younger sibling. I never touched this image, that's literally what the panel said when I found it (note, "refuses to find different coping mechanisms") when it made the rounds however many years ago. So if it's an edit, it's one someone else made.
I don't particularly want to see Max's parental incest works and I hope she would tag them so I can avoid them and avoid being triggered by them, but Max and her coping mechanisms are between Max and her therapist, not strangers on the internet. Period.
Satellite, my OC, is an adult character who talks, reads, drinks, journals, and naval gazes about his endless war trauma. No, I've never done cub art of him or of any other character for that matter.
Incidentally, this person once claimed I admitted I was into bestiality, was asked if I actually admitted that, and replied "No, but..."
Followed by a screenshot of a commission I did, starring alien Muppets and absolutely slathered in warnings reminding the reader that this particular character's behavior is deplorable.
(I have, however, had Viv stans send me real animal abuse under the guise of it being a link to something Viv did.)
My blog's always been open for anyone, Viv fan or not, anti or proship or whatever, who's capable of behaving like a grown person. If my shameless thirst for monsters and dragons and adamant stance that I care what people actually do (and what they wish they could do) makes anyone feel like they want to stay away from me, no problem! That's curating your own experience, which I'm in favor of!
But don't be lying. We've got enough liars in the world.
