Of the Northmost Winds and Skies part 2
how to get up in the morning tutorial
how to get up in the morning walkthrough
how to get up in the morning tips and tricks
Fat squirrel kept his distance but did indeed join me for my walk today. He followed at a distance. I Love you, fat distant squirrel.
I Love you, too, pukicho.
Come closer
Breathe Again
This probably isn't the best, but I wrote it for my best friend so her opinion is the only one I need rn lol. Wylan has a panic attack and Kaz is a little bit of a softie.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wylan wasn't entirely sure what had brought this one on. Maybe it was the quiet. He'd never liked the quiet all that much. Sometimes, it was more imposing than the loud screaming from his father. Quiet meant that the rage was building, rather than dwindling.
Who was mad, though? Not Inej. Surely not Nina. It had to be Kaz. Wylan wasn't sure what he'd done, he just knew he needed to make reparations. He'd start by cleaning the kitchen. Surely, seeing the space all tidied up would bring Kaz out of his mood. He would make him some tea, as well.
Yes, he would fix this.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was like he'd forgotten how to move. He'd swept the floor. He'd wiped the counters four times over. It was finally time to make the saints forsaken tea, but he couldn't move.
Tea leaves, Wylan, tea leaves he repeated in his mind. Yet, he couldn't seem to stop staring at the empty cup in his hand. He wasn't even exactly staring at the cup. It was more like his vision blurred while his eyes were pointed in the general vicinity of the cup.
"Wylan?"
The cup was on the floor. The cup was on the floor in hundreds of tiny little shards. The cup was on the floor in hundreds of tiny little blue shards and Wylan couldn't breathe. Wylan couldn't breathe. Wylan couldn't-
"Wylan!" Inej's yell caught his attention. "Wylan, are you alright?"
Wylan was shaking. He couldn't seem to catch his breath. He was rocking on the floor in a ball, though he wasn't sure when he'd sat down. The corners of his vision were getting dark. His shoulders felt tense, and his throat burned. He looked at the cup again. Inej snapped her fingers in front of his eyes to get him to look at her.
Without saying anything else, she took very deep breaths. She gestured for him to copy her. They breathed deeply for several moments until the darkness went away and the burning stopped. Then, Wylan let everything out. Inej just held him as he sobbed.
He heard another set of footsteps coming down the stairs before someone paused at the doorway. The steps went away for a few moments before returning again. A pair of black, leather gloves were tossed on the floor next to Wylan. He looked up to meet Kaz's gaze.
Kaz, the man he'd been so sure was silently fuming, was standing beside him with his head turned away. "The gloves help me, sometimes. I figured they might be of some aid to you."
As he left, Wylan and Inej simply looked at each other in shock. He wasn't angry. He wasn't mad. Wylan could breathe again.
Forever (Jack Frost x Twin!Reader)
Hey so it's been like a milennia since I've updated this.
TW: existential crisis, I guess. Bunny bullying Jack.
The North Pole was more than Y/N could have ever imagined it to be. Massive icicles that glistened in the sun like diamonds hung from the entrance to North's workshop. She let out a breath that fogged out in front of her, thankful for the fleecelined jacket North had sent for her before her journey. Y/N couldn't withstand cold temperatures in the way that many other spirits could. Her first encounter with Jack Frost taught her that pretty quickly. Their work tended to overlap, though, so the two of them had to figure out how to coexist without another incident.
She smiled fondly, thinking of the winter sprite. Throughout all the time she'd known him, though, she couldn't escape the mystery that the boy posed to her. She couldn't figure out why he'd seemed so familiar.
As she entered North's workshop, she forgot all about the curiosity that he left her with. How could she not when the Guardians of Childhood were all gathered before her? Well, the Guardians minus Bunnymund. She couldn't help but wonder where her fuzzy friend happened to be.
"Welcome, Y/N! It is good to see you, my friend." North's voice was as booming as ever. He scooped her off of the ground, hugging her so tightly that she thought she'd lose consciousness.
"Hello", she giggled when he'd finally put her down. "Sandy says you have something important to tell me."
For just a moment, North's jolly expression turns dark, almost solemn. "Soon, Y/N. We must wait for our other guest to arrive."
Other guest? That certainly piqued her interest. Sandy hadn't mentioned the Guardians summoning anyone else. A hole in the ground opened beside her, and she tried not to jump for joy as Bunny appeared from inside it.
"Hey! How's it going?" Bunny threw an arm over her shoulder, side hugging her. Before she had a chance to answer, several yetis appeared from one of North's globe portals.
They haphazardly tossed a brown burlap sack to the floor. The familiar friend she'd been thinking about moments ago struggled out of it. He stopped struggling as he quickly realized that he was face to face with every one of the Guardians of Childhood.
"Wow. You've gotta be kidding me." It was an apalling response. The Guardians were considered the best of the best by just about every other spirit out there. They worked tirelessly to keep the children safe from evil and darkness. They were 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘥 in. Y/N wanted to be just like them. She didn't understand why Jack seemed so... 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘥.
North started to introduce everyone as if the entire world wouldn't recognize them with their backs turned and an eye shut.
"This is Y/N. Y/N, this is Jack. I believe you two have met."
Y/N nodded, that tug of familiarity coming back to her. She knew she was staring, but it felt like she would burst if she looked away from him for even a moment. 250 years of knowing one another, and she still couldn't figure him out.
She snapped out of it when Jack turned away.
"Anyone wanna tell me why I'm here?"
Sandy was quick to try and explain himself, but Jack couldn't keep up with his dream sand symbols. Neither could Y/N, honestly.
"I must've done something bad to bring you four together. Am I on the naughty list?" He peered over at her, his face saying he was sure that that's not what it was about. Not if she was there, too.
"On naughty list? You hold record. But, no matter. We will overlook. Now we are wiping clean the slate."
Interesting. Very interesting.
"How come?" Jack wasn't buying it. There was no way they'd just forget about his tricks. Not unless something big was going on.
"Good question," Bunny sneered. Y/N tried not to giggle. She knew Bunny was a little less than patient with Jack. He'd dealt with his fair share of snowy Easters. He liked Y/N. Jack? Not so much.
"How come? I tell you how come. Because now, you", North turned to her as well, "are Guardian!" Trumpet fanfare blared through the workshop. A Guardian? She was going to be a Guardian? That was all she'd ever wanted. Or, at least all she can remember wanting.
Tooth's fairies flew down with a string of paper flowers between them, draping them over her neck. Jack stepped away from the paper snowflakes, putting a defensive hand up. A yeti stood behind him, trying to keep him in place.
"This is the best part!" North exclaimed with childlike glee. Y/N wasn't sure how anything could have been better than hearing their news.
The yetis twirled fiery batons as the elves danced around her and Jack. He seemed agitated, but she was so thrilled. A pair of elves came up to her with a pair of green shoes, a big embroidered "G" seemingly staring back at her. Shoes weren't really her thing, but she didn't get a chance to decline before Jack raised his staff and slammed it to the ground.
An icy blast of wind burst through the room. The yetis flames were out in an instant. The ground beneath her was so cold that it almost burned. She stumbled, immediately feeling weak. Bunny was at her side in an instant, pulling her away from the boy. He held her close, using his fur to warm her.
She noticed Jack falter, likely full of shame at bringing her any sort of harm, but he still had things to say.
"What makes you think I want to be a Guardian?"
What was he doing? Was he really rejecting their offer? She'd hoped they didn't think he was speaking on both of their behalf. She was actually a little disappointed that he'd interrupted the ceremony.
North suddenly let out a full belly laugh. "Of course you do. Music!"
The fanfare started again, but Jack was quick to cut it off.
"This is all very flattering, but you don't want me. You're all hard work and deadlines, and I'm snowballs and fun times. She's probably more your speed."
Y/N didn't know whether to be offended that he thought she wasn't fun or flattered that he thought she was a hard worker.
"I'm not a Guardian."
Bunny chuckled. "Yeah, that's exactly what I said."
"Jack, I don't think you understand what it is we do." Y/N knew exactly what it is they did, but she still clung to Tooth's every word. The massive globe in the center of the room was lit up by little specks of warm white light. "Each of those lights is a child."
"A child who believes," North interjected. "Good or bad, naughty or nice, we protect them."
Y/N felt called to protect the children. The Man in the Moon had never told her anything besides her name, but she could guess that if he had anything else to say to her, it'd be about aiding the Guardians in their mission to protect the world's children.
Caught in her own thoughts, yet again. She was pulled out of them by North telling Tooth to take her fingers out of Jack's mouth.
"Okay, no more wishy-washy. Pitch is out there doing who knows what!"
Pitch? Woah. Y/N knew that if the Guardians wanted her, something had to be wrong. She didn't expect to be talking about the Boogeyman, though. Apparently, neither did Jack.
"When Pitch threatens us, he threatens them as well."
"All the more reason to pick someone more qualified." Another one of those looks that said he thought she was it.
"Pick? You think we pick? No, you were chosen like we were all chosen: by Man in Moon."
A chill ran down her spine. The Man in the Moon talked to them? The Man in the Moon chose her?
"Last night, Jack. He chose you and Y/N."
It hit her like a ton of bricks. She really was meant to aid them. She was meant to be one of them. A Guardian.
"You cannot say no. It is destiny."
"Why wouldn't he tell me that himself? After three hundred years? This is his answer? To spend eternity like you guys, cooped up in some hideout, thinking of new ways to bribe kids? No. That's not for me!"
Jack was shouting at the sky now, like the Man in the Moon would change his mind if all he did was yell. The angrier he got, the colder the room felt. At least to Y/N. None of the others seemed too bothered. She felt a bit defective in that way. Like when the Man in the Moon created her, he forgot some special function to make her strong and resilient like them.
"You know what I think?" Bunny asked, pulling away from Y/N's side and strutting towards Jack. "I think we just dodged a bullet. What does this clown know about bringing joy to children anyway?"
"You ever hear of a snow day? I know it's no hard boiled egg, but kids like what I do."
"But none of them believe in you, do they? See, you're invisible mate. It's like you don't even exist."
Y/N felt like she'd been stabbed. Repeatedly. One of the few people she'd gotten to know in her time as a spirit of spring, and he used the thing that wounded her the most as a weapon. He may not have been speaking to her, but he may as well have been spitting the words right at her.
She could be a Guardian. She could be a hero and protect the children. She'd never be seen, though. Nobody believed in her.
"Bunny! Enough."
Y/N could tell Bunny was trying not to look at her. If he did, he'd probably back down. He doesn't like backing down from a fight. He'd probably apologize later. Still, she tried to take her mind elsewhere. If she pretended that the conversation wasn't happen, it couldn't hurt her any more than it already had.
"People believe in me." People believe in... People don't believe in her. She wasn't even sure if she could believe in herself. Maybe Jack was right. Maybe the unseen weren't meant to be Guardians.
"Jack, walk with me."
He just tried not to seem affected as he followed North. Bunny avoided eye contact. He knew. They probably all did. They probably all knew what a phony she was, too.
"I need a bit of air."
She decided to wander. Her mind did, too. She wandered through the last two hundred and fifty years. She wanted nothing more than to understand. So many fragments of her being were missing. She wasn't sure what they were. One day, she woke up. They weren't with her. They were somewhere seemingly unreachable.
"You know, Bunny didn't mean to hurt you." Tooth's bell-like voice rang through the air. She was so sure. She probably never had to question who she was or where she'd come from.
"I know. It's just that... Jack and I.... we're the same. People can't see us. People don't use our names as anything but a passing phrase. Children believe in you. I can't even believe in myself. I don't know what there is to believe in."
Tooth was silent. She knew better than to try to comfort Y/N. She'd never been able to say that she related to that. Not really. She decided to distract, instead.
"North is probably giving Jack the same speech that he gave all of us about 'finding our centers'."
"Our what?"
"First lesson in being a Guardian: learning how to find your center. Who are you, Y/N? What matters to you? What's the value that you hold above any other?"
Y/N was silent. She didn't really know. She wanted to keep the kids safe, but didn't they all?
"Just something to think about. What mattered most to you before you were chosen?"
Y/N wished she knew how to answer that question.
"I don't think I was anything before I was chosen. How can anything matter to me if I wasn't anything?"
"Y/N, what do you mean? We were all somebody before we were chosen. Do you not remember?"
Y/N just shook her head. She didn't think there was anything before darkness and the Moon.
"Teeth hold memories. I'll have to remind you of yours. We'd have to go to-"
A little fairy started chirping loudly in her ear. Tooth's face shifted instantaneously. The motherly tenderness from before was replaced with fear and dread.
"We have to go! My palace is under attack. They're taking the teeth!"
Y/N stood, realizing that she could be just moments away from coming face to face with Pitch Black, the darkest and nastiest of all the evil the Guardians had encountered.
He was about to stand between her and whoever she was before she'd become a Guardian. That was a big mistake.
All For You (Part 2) (Human!Alastor x Daughter!Reader)
Summary: Y/N has never been so scared. How could her father do this? How could her father be this?
TW: blood, gore, mentions of death, cannibalism, Y/N and Alastor argue
It was warm. So very warm. Y/N wondered if she'd still had a fever, and that everything she'd seen was some sickness induced nightmare. Surely, her father wasn't really the Killer of the Bayou.
She opened her eyes. Everything was red and hazy. She looked to the side and scrambled away, shrieking, as she met a body, oozing blood and rib cage opened wide.
Someone to her left chuckled. She looked up and was met with a tall, shadowy figure. His eyes and mouth glowed a radioactive yellow-green color. He wore a tall, black cap. When he spoke, he sounded fancy. It was liking he was trying to sound posh but not quite speaking with a British accent.
"Hello, little one. You don't really look like you're supposed to be here."
"I-" Y/N didn't think she should have been there, either. Wherever there was. She had a feeling she was in one of the afterlifes. She had another, worse feeling that it wasn't one of the nice ones.
"I'm in Hell, aren't I?" The tall figure seemed shocked by how dejected Y/N sounded. She'd accepted where she'd ended up rather quickly, especially for someone who scrambled away from a body so quickly.
"Yes. You look a bit too.... gentle to be here. Usually, the new arrivals have some kind of scales or sharp teeth. Claws, maybe. But you? You look fuzzy."
Y/N looked to her left. She could see her reflection in one of the mirrored windows nearby. She reached up gingerly to touch the teeny little stubs on top of her head. She had little ears that stuck up through her hair. She was covered in tawny fur and white freckles. Her nose was replaced with a little black snout. It twitched as she took a whiff of the air around her. It smelled like sulfur, sewage, and blood.
She wondered vaguely if she had become too familiar with the coppery scent. Sure, she'd only seen one of her father's victims. But, she'd also smelled her own blood as she faded away. She thought she might have felt blood splattering her face as she died. She had heard a loud sound as aje went, after all.
Had someone found out what her father had done? Was their city so (rightfully) angry with him that they sought their own bloody vengeance? Were they happy that she was dead, too?
Y/N started hyperventilating. She thought of her friends from school and what their parents would say about her. "Oh, Joanna. Her father was a murderer. She wouldn't have grown up to be anything good."
"I'm not like him" she muttered. The cloaked figure looked confused. Y/N's eyes widened like she was some cornered animal. "I'm not like him!"
Before the man had time to respond, Y/N took off down the street. She didn't know where she was going. She just needed to find somewhere to hide. What if her dad found her?
She was panting heavily as she crashed into some trash cans in the alley she'd run into. She nestled between them, pulling her legs close to her chest. She looked around rapidly, trying to calm herself. She just couldn't. She'd hoped she was having some horrendous nightmare, and instead, this was her new reality.
Well, Hell was probably pretty big. The chances of her father finding her had to be a little lower, at least. The chances of anyone finding her in this alley....
She heard a noise to her right. She covered her mouth to try and hide the sound of her own breathing. Y/N was terrified. She should have stayed with the tall man. At least he seemed nice. What if this person decided to kill her? Could she die again? Would she be gone for good this time?
"You can come out. I know where you are and you're not really gonna be able to get out. I can keep you safe."
Safe? Y/N had forgotten that was a thing she could be. Between realizing she was living with a cannibalistic murderer and ending up in the fiery pits of literal Hell, safety sounds unreachable. Yet, she couldn't help but feel like maybe this new person could actually offer it to her.
Hesitantly, she climbed from behind the trash cans. Her hands, now covered in a layer of soft, brown fur, pushed against the tin beside her. She stood before the mysterious voice. It belonged to a fairly short man. He had yellow-gold hair that was somewhat hidden by a tall, white cap. He held a cane with a shiny red apple on the top. His entire suit was white. It looked expensive, at least by her standards.
Then again, everything was expensive to her. Her father had been the one to buy her all of her wants and needs. He'd insist on getting her something, even if she tried to protest. He'd buy all of her favorite foods. Her mother wasn't really in the picture, so her father had taken on all of the parental responsibilities. She found herself missing him just a bit, and she had to remind herself of the scene from her kitchen. He'd seemed so docile, just standing their cleaning everything up. Yet, the blood that painted his hands and face suggested he was anything but.
She shivered, trying to clear the image from her mind. This man before her radiated genuine care for her well-being, but he also radiated power. She was afraid to trust him. She was afraid to trust anyone. Surely, though, this man could protect her from her father. She could sense that much. She decided to follow him.
She was a bit surprised to see that he led her to some strange looking hotel, though. He introduced himself. He was Lucifer, King of Hell. She understood why he seemed to have such an aura of power. He was literally the most powerful being in Hell. He introduced his daughter, as well. Her name was Charlie. She was shown to a room and all but coddled.
Of course, she had to pretend that she was still sleeping when Lucifer and Charlie came into her room, peering down at her. She slowed her breathing, the way that she had that fateful night with her father, and listened in.
"I can't shake the feeling that she's not supposed to be here, Char. She's in my records. I called Saint Peter. She's not on his list. She's too soft for Hell. But she had to have done something that kept her from getting into Heaven, even something small."
"I don't know, Dad. The situation seems off. She seems really nice. She doesn't talk the way the rest of the new arrivals do, though. She talks like she's from an older generation."
"She talks like Alastor."
Y/N's breath hitched. Sure, she was in Hell. That wouldn't stop her from praying, though.
"We'll figure it out. Okay, Dad?"
𝘈𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳. It couldn't be. Could it?
She couldn't chance it. She tried to maintain her composure, waiting until the two left the room before she silently slid from the bed. If there was even a possibility that these strangers had brought her right to her murderous father, she needed to leave. She couldn't trust them, even if they really did want to help. Ignorance is dangerous. These people may not know what he did, and they'd probably bring her right to him if they connected the dots.
After wrapping herself in the new clothes Charlie had given her, Y/N tried to sneak down the stairs of the hotel. As soon as she saw the door, she made a break for it, only to immediately slam into someone.
She hit the ground hard and flinched as the man who stood before her asked if she was alright. She most certainly wasn't, though. The face and voice man she'd just run into were unmistakable. Looming over her, feigning concern, was Alastor.
Where's My Kid?
Contrary to popular belief, Tony Stark was not dead. Although with such a killer headache, he definitely wished he was. No hangover could ever compare to the pain he was in after waking up in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. A cabin that he'd happened to own.
He was known as the genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist for good reason. He'd been planning to take the Infinity Stones from Thanos and snap so that things may return to normal, and he knew that it wasn't going to tickle.
He'd been banking on his own survival, even if the odds he'd make it off of the field of battle were slim. He wasn't much of a gambler anymore, but he'd almost wished he'd bet money on himself. He would have made out like a fiend. Not that he really needed the money, though.
He was completely alone in the cabin. He didn't want to tell Pepper about his plan, just in case it fell through. Tony couldn't let her down any more than he had in their lifetime. The plan was for Rhodes to bring him to the cabin, set him up with an IV, and come back every few days to replace the bag.
The bag he was hooked up to at the moment was still half full, so he guessed Rhodey wouldn't be in for at least another two days, and Tony Stark definitely was not patient enough for that. He'd kept a backup phone in the drawer of the nightstand next to his bed.
He originally only would've had Rhodey and Happy's numbers saved, but he thought about visiting Peter when he eventually woke up. It probably would've been better if he had a way to contact May to let her know he'd be coming. She'd be less likely to freak out and throw things upon seeing the man everyone had presumed to be dead, well... less dead than they thought.
He knew he should've called Rhodey first, just to let him know that he was awake, but as his thumbed hovered over the call button, he was hit with sudden impulse and clicked on May's contact instead.
The phone rang for a few minutes, and a sinking feeling grew in the pit of his stomach, although he wasn't quite sure why. May's cheery voice told him to leave a message after the beep, but Tony ended the call and decided to try for Happy instead.
After the third ring, his ears were met with Happy's not so happy tone. "Hello?"
Tony tried not to cry. If the pain hadn't already convinced him that he was alive, that definitely would have.
"Hello? Listen bud, I'm not gonna sit here listening to you breathe. You can either say something now or I'm gonna hang up."
Tony let out a disbelieving laugh. "You'd really hang up on your best friend?"
There was a clink, like the sound of keys hitting the floor, and a moment of silence before he heard "Tony?"
"Hey, Hap."
"This isn't some sick joke, right? Is this really you?"
"Yeah, it's me. Listen, I'm famished. You mind coming to get me? Preferably with at least three cheeseburgers."
"Yeah, boss. Where, uh, where are you?"
Tony sighed contentedly. He'd be able to go home. He quickly typed his coordinates into their chat and hit send.
"Just sent you coords."
There was another pregnant pause. "Tony, that's literally the middle of nowhere."
"Yeah, you might need to take the Wrangler. You'll figure it out. You're a smart fella. Hey, can you get me a Diet Coke, too? I'm pretty thirsty."
"You're definitely Tony, alright. Yeah, I'll be there in 30 minutes."
"Okay. Love ya, cupcake!"
He hung up and shot Rhodey a quick text.
𝘏𝘦𝘺, 𝘐'𝘮 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘬𝘦. 𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺'𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘦. 𝘐'𝘮 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘐'𝘮 𝘢𝘣𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘺 𝘴𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘱. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘦.
His phone chimed loudly as Rhodey's message appeared.
𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘔𝘳. 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘬. 𝘚𝘦𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯.
He shook his head and sent an angry emoji before he asked the question that had been sitting heavy on his heart since he'd woken up.
𝘏𝘰𝘸'𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘥?
The three dots that showed that Rhodey was typing bounced up and down on the screen before his phone chimed again.
𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵. 𝘚𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘣𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺.
Of course Tony was happy to hear about his little girl. Knowing that she'd only just recently lost her first tooth did give him an idea of how long he'd been in a coma, too. He was referring to another kid, though. A kid who swung around Queens, New York in a bright blue and red suit.
𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥. 𝘏𝘰𝘸'𝘴 𝘗𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨?
Another chime.
𝘋𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘗𝘦𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘳? 𝘚𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘵𝘰𝘰. 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶.
His heart panged for his wife, but he still hadn't gotten the answer to his question. He'd sacrificed everything for Peter Parker, and all he wanted to know was how he was doing.
𝘗𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘥? 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯?
A chime.
𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳'𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘸? 𝘓𝘪𝘬𝘦, 𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺'𝘴 𝘔𝘢𝘺? 𝘏𝘦'𝘴 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯?
Tony was starting to get frustrated. He just woke up from a coma and Rhodey was going to screw with his head now?
𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘩, 𝘮𝘢𝘯. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨?
The three dots bounced on the screen again. They disappeared. They bounced again for a moment, and then there was another chime. As Tony was growing more and more impatient, each chime sounded like nails on a chalkboard.
𝘐'𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥. 𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘺, 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘦'𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵. 𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘸𝘦 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯?
Tony's heart dropped. "After May passed?" May was dead? Why would Rhodey be saying Happy met Peter the other day? They'd known each other for at least a year, if not more.
Something was wrong. Very, very wrong. Tony needed to find his kid.
Dad? Dad, I'm scared!
I wrote a fic a while back that followed the prompt "I'm at the hospital". I felt like writing again, and a friend of mine requested "I don't know where I am. Help me" with dad!Tony x daughter!reader fic
TW: Mentions of blood, injury, etc., kidnapping
Tony Stark was a chronic worrier. He didn't really know what to do with himself when his daughter started first started school. She gave him a big grin, front tooth missing and all, and he felt his heart stop in his chest. He worried about who may show up at her school and try to hurt her, just because of who he was.
Y/N was everything to him. Y/N, Rhodey, Peter and Pepper were all he had. So when three quarters of his world were in his living room and he saw the call from the fourth, he couldn't help but smile. He was excited for her to get home, and was sure that she was telling him that she was on her way home from practice. She'd never let him send a car.
When Tony realized what time it was though, he picked up on the fact that her call was ten minutes later than usual. No big deal. She probably got out of practice late. Still, a cold sweat broke out across his brow. He threw his crumpled up napkin at Peter, who seemed very offended and was going to throw his own back. Tony pointed as his phone, mouthing the words "Don't be rude, I'm on the phone" as he answered the call.
"Hey, you're running a little late, kiddo. We ordered pizza and garlic knots. If you don't get here soon, I'm gonna let Peter eat yours."
He tried to joke with her, if only to keep his blood pressure from raising more than it already had. He heard his daughter breathing on the other end of the line, but she didn't say anything.
"Everything okay, baby? You buttdial your old man or something?"
He heard her sniffle, but the sound was too close to the microphone for her cell to be in her pocket. Something was wrong. Something was very wrong.
"Y/N/N? Y/N, what's going on?"
He heard an unintelligible whisper on the other end. He was on very high alert. Something was going on with his kid. His baby girl. He needed to figure out what was happening, and fast. Pepper was starting to panic, waving her hands at Tony for answers that he couldn't give her.
"Y/N, baby? Are you hurt? Is there anyone with you?"
Finally, Y/N spoke up, but her speech was very slurred.
"I don't know where I am. Help me."
Peter's heightened senses allowed him to hear what was said, and he bristled before standing. His suit was on in the blink of an eye, and Tony was calling for his own, but needed more information. He was thankful that in his own state of paranoia, he'd equipped his pride and joy with a Stark Tech smart watch.
"Fri, get me Y/N's stats."
The A.I. processed the request within half a second. "Y/N's heart rate seems to be quickly decreasing. Her right shoulder is bleeding heavily from a deep wound. Finding her exact location as we speak."
There was a moment of silence. It was as if the entire world was frozen in place. Tony's entire world....
"Friday, where is my daughter?"
"Sir, there seems to be some interference. I cannot get ahold of her coordinates."
"What do you mean interference? You had her heart rate 30 seconds ago."
Tony blanched. "Friday, run Y/N's vitals."
A beat of silence. "I cannot read Y/N's vitals at this time."
"Y/N? Baby? Can you still hear me?" Tony wanted to throw up. There was a coiling feeling in his stomach as his daughter tried to speak to him, only to be interrupted by crackling and the sound of the call dying.
He set his phone down, shaking as he tried to figure out what to do.
"Maybe we can-" Peter was cut off by the sharp, piercing sound of the phone ringing again. Tony scrambled for it, desperately hoping that somehow Y/N had managed to figure out how to get her call through.
Instead, he was met with a screen that said "Unknown Caller". He asked Friday to trace the call before answering.
"Hello, Iron Man. I'm sure you've noticed that your little rat hasn't made it home from cheerleading. Got an awful lot of spirit, doesn't she? Dropped her pom poms somewhere along the way. If you don't find them, you can always send me your Venmo. I can cover a new set. Although, I don't know if she's gonna be needing them, what with how little time she has left before she bleeds out."
Tony grit his teeth. "Where is my daughter?"
The voice on the other end of the call laughed maniacally.
"You really thought this was gonna be some bad movie that got 39% on Rotten Tomatoes, didn't you? You get a call. Your kid was taken hostage. You try to trace the call. Usually, you get some quick results. Not this time, though."
Tony asked Friday where the call was coming from. He'd gotten "I cannot trace this call, sir" in return.
"You're gonna do what I say, or I'm gonna beat your little brat so badly that she's gonna beg for death."
"You're not gonna touch her!"
"You wanna bet?" The faceless voice was laced with venom. Tony heard a door squeal as it opened. "Hey, Princess. Daddy's on the phone. Wanna say hi?"
There was some shuffling and Y/N's panicked voice came through the phone. "Dad? Dad, I'm scared. I'm in an empty bedroom somewhere. It looks like- ah!"
Y/N grunted in pain as the sound of something colliding with her cheek burned into Tony's memory. The sound of his daughter being hurt. He'd never hear that sound again. Not if he could help it.
"That's enough out of you, Princess. Daddy and I have to talk business, now. You still listening, Iron Man?"
"What do you want?"
"Let's start with thirty million dollars in unmarked bills, deposited directly to an untraceable account. I want the blueprints for every weapon Stark Industries has ever created. Probably a pretty optimistic request. You're going to say something noble like 'I can't just give you blueprints for weapons of mass destruction. That's bad.' Then I'm gonna have to say 'Okay, well so is this' and punch your kid in the face again. Ya know, like this."
The sound of a fist meeting his daughter's face made Tony want to reach through the phone and pummel the life out of this mystery caller.
"You have 48 hours to send the money to this account" - Tony's phone dinged, a ten digit number popping up as a notification flag - "and drop the blueprints at this location. I don't care if the brat is breathing or not by the time I get what I want, so it's probably in your best interest to get everything to me sooner than later. Unless you enjoy carrying bodybags through the air. But, that's weird. K, bye."
The call died, and so did a piece of Tony. He looked at his wife, who was shaking as she held in her sobs. He looked at his mentee, who looked about as ready to go to war for Y/N as he was. He looked at his best friend, who had seen him through his best and worst. Rhodey looked more severe than ever.
"Let's get our kid back."
How they were going to find her, Tony didn't know. What he did know, though, was that he was going to find her captor and make them pay.
Genuinely, to all those purposefully spamming their pornographic content in the asexual tags (without warning/content labels)....
Go fuck yourself?...I usually hate being one of those people who post things like this. But just...fuck you? What is your problem
I think its important to note that there is a microlabel under the Asexual umbrella for people who are Asexual because of sexual related trauma (Caedsexual). Spamming porno content could be very triggering as well as uncomfortable. There are people who feel disgusted when seeing sex. Don't be malicious just because it gets you attention.
Consent isn't:
Saying yes because you think it's the only way to keep someone happy
Saying yes under the influence
Not being able to say no while under the influence
Being convinced to do something (sometimes manipulated into doing something as a "you owe me". Not always that specifically, but that's an example)
Saying yes, deciding you no longer enjoy what's happening, and feeling like you can't change your mind
Saying yes, deciding you don't like what's happening, and being ignored when expressing discomfort because "you already said it's fine"
A maybe
Being forced into something
Silence being taken as a yes because "it's not a no"
Someone else nodding for you while you're unconcious
Consent is:
A clear, concise yes.
Consent should be asked for in every stage of any situation. Consent also doesn't only apply to intercourse/sexual activity. It could apply to trying to have your child hug a family member that they don't want to. It could apply to forcing your child to sit on Santa's lap when they don't want to. Rather than teaching people to protect themselves, teach them what consent is and isn't and how it needs to be applied.
Just in case you haven't heard this today, it's not your fault. It's not your fault that you didn't know a close friend struggled. It's not your fault that you lost your baby. It's not your fault that you were assaulted. It's not your fault that your family member is sick. It's not your fault that they were abusive. It's not your fault that you live in a society that cares more about how you look than whether or not you eat enough to survive. It's not your fault that you struggle. It's not your fault that you're human.

Get on in here, all y’all. Everyone’s welcome!
Well, everyone who’s nice. If you’re not nice, I’m sure there’s another blog you could read, you won’t like it here.
Hell yeah
We should not have to urge men not to assault women.
Women have to teach men that they are not allowed to assault women.
Men, if you think your friends may have committed assault, report them. If you think they might, stop them. Friends don't let friends rape.
It might make your friend mad, but it would ruin her life. PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression all follow assault and rape. They follow you for a long time, if not forever, and that's not even to mention the tolls it would take on her body. Don't let your friends ruin lives.
Anyone else realize in "Hell's Greatest Dad" Lucifer says that he usually charges a sacrificial lamb, but Charlie gets a family rate (family discount)? And then Razzle (or Dazzle) dies, and only then does he appear during the battle on extermination day. But Razzle and Dazzle are goats, right? So that shouldn't make sense? The goats were the family rate. They didn't have lambs around, but the goats were basically Charlie's babies. They're valued as much as a sacrificial lamb was.
Lucifer charged the sacrificial lamb (goat).
Hiya -
Just discovered your blog and I was wondering do you have any rules for Hazbin Requests? Got a bunch and wanna make sure they're suitable lol ❤️
Hello! Thanks for asking, I just realized I've never actually posted a list of rules
So here are things I will not write
• NSFW content
• Suic!de or self harm
• Pedophil!a
• Inc3st
• Anything that insults others' religions, genders, race, etc.
Other than that, most things are pretty fair game. In cases where I'm not comfortable writing something that I forgot to mention, I'll simply respond saying such. Thank you!
Edit: Someone asked about x OC. It's not something I'm opposed to writing, it's just not something I've written yet. Please don't ask me to divert too much from canon sexualities or romantic orientations.
