Ripe Times - Collab beers are smart but never brilliant
Magic Rock & SALT have worked together to produce Ripe Times, a 6.5% DDH IPA. It’s a good beer but more importantly (to some people) it makes smart business sense too. Fans of Magic Rock have an easy introduction to SALT and vice versa and hopefully this leads to the growth of both breweries. The issue with collaboration beers is that they never seem to be ‘ground breaking’ and always seem to lack a killer edge that often craft breweries tend to provide and thrive from. This is likely because making some sort of 17.6% triple barrel aged chilli-stout may not make a brilliant first impression... not the masses anyway. Overall, two brilliant up and coming breweries have produced a ‘good’ but not ‘amazing’ beer - am I being too harsh? Check out the review!
Pride & Joy - Good Beer for a Good Cause!
My latest video is on ‘Pride & Joy’ a great IPA from Vocation brewery. Not only does the beer taste good but for every can sold with the Pride branding the brewery made a donation to LGBT charities!
There can’t be much better than drinking beer for a good cause? Check it out!
Stormtrooper ‘Galactic’ Pale Ale - Just a Gimmick?
My latest video is on Stormtrooper by St Peter’s Brewery. The can art features the original design of the Stormtrooper armour from the very first Star Wars film. This is because its brewed in collaboration with Shepperton Design Studios who hold the trademark of the design - not Disney. Is this beer actually being brewed as a viable Pale Ale or is it just a ploy to cash in on the recent Star Wars hype?
Check out the video below!
Hemisphere has award winning can art, so should you expect award winning beer?
My latest review is on ‘Hemisphere’ from the brewery FourPure. You can tell instantly that a lot of time and effort has gone into designing the can artwork so surely the same amount of time must have been invested into crafting the beer?
A lot of smaller breweries rely on strong marketing and attention grabbing can design in order convince people to make a purchase. Maybe the design work sets a high bar but in this case the taste leaves a bit to be desired.
Is ‘Cwtch’ one of the best ever Welsh Beers?
I’ve recently tried Cwtch, an exceptional red ale from the Tiny Rebel brewery in South Wales. It’s got an incredible taste and has amazing, eye-catching artwork on the can. It’s a brilliant flagship beer for one of the fastest growing breweries in the country. Could you consider it to be the best ever beer from Wales?
Thanks for checking out the video, if you want to see more I post reviews of new beer every Tuesday. Let me know what beer I should review next!
HI I’m starting up my beer review videos again from next week.
Here’s my channel trailer, check it out if craft beer is something you enjoy. Any feedback is appreciated too. Cheers!
How Katie Hopkins Spreads HATE & Division Online!
I despise Katie Hopkins, all she does is try to turn groups of people she doesn’t like against each other. She only sows division for her personal gain and comes out with controversial opinions not because she believes them but because it keeps her in the limelight!
What Makes a Good, Strong but Drinkable IPA?
‘You May As Well Pass’ from Abbeydale Brewery is all of the above and in addition also features amazing can art. The blend of flavourful hops means that the beer has a great but not overwhelming taste and doesn’t become a chore to drink.
Have you tried this beer? Let me know what you think. If you have any suggestions for future videos be sure to let me know!

What Makes A Great Session IPA? Docks Beers - ‘Hard Graft’ Beer Review
There’s loads of ‘session IPAs’ out there but how can you determine what makes a good one. I think Hard Graft is a good example of one. It’s got a strong, tasty and bold flavour so it’s something you’d happily drink more than one of. Despite being bold, it doesn’t have a sharp edge, bitterness or off-putting aromas.
Basically, it tastes good and isn’t too strong, so it’s something you can drink lots of! Have you tried this beer, if so what do you think to it?
Deliverance IPA - Abbeydale Brewery
This IPA is a real statement of intent. At 9.0% it’s a strong drink and packed full of flavour too. The can features great artwork (as usual) and the folks at Abbeydale brewery have once again delivered a great drink!
The only downside I’d say is that due to it’s strength it certainly isn’t a session beer. What are your thoughts on it? And if you have any suggestions on what to review next please let me know!

Fosters Lager is a FRAUD! It Isn’t Even Australian!
I think it’s watery and lacking in taste but worst of all it isn’t even Australian like it claims to be. Does anyone actually enjoy this beer?
I don’t want to sound like a snob but it seems the only reason people would drink it is to get drunk on the cheap, which is fine for house parties etc, but it isn’t something anyone would choose to drink, surely?

Is Dead Pony Club The Best BrewDog Beer?
I’m a big fan of BrewDog Beers but I especially like Dead Pony Club. It’s citrusy, great tasting and easy to drink. I’m glad that despite the new ‘Punk Manifesto’ that it’s staying around as one of the brewery’s headliners.
What do you think to this beer? Watching my review below, subscribe to the channel and let me know which beer I should review next!

The Problems With BrewDog & New Punk IPA - BrewDog Punk IPA Beer Review!
Whilst I think BrewDog make excellent beers, and whilst I also think Punk IPA still is an excellent beer, I (and many others) feel like it isn’t as good as it was. In this review I give the beer praise but also talk about why the beer has changed (slightly) for the worst.

BrewDog Quench Quake: Grapefruit & Tangerine Sour Beer Review!
This is an excellent beer from the Scottish brewery, BrewDog. You can really taste the citrus and sour flavours in the beer, it almost tastes like cider or alcoholic fruit juice!
Having said that, it isn’t overpowering and it tastes incredible. Best of all, it’s cheap! Have you tried this beer? If so let me know what you thought to it.
