Okay but the importance of romanticising soft kind thoughtful boys who are open about their feelings and sweet in general cannot be overstated. More romantic leads who check in on their girls , who don’t care about being seen as “whipped” , who go out of their way to bond with little sisters and moms and dads , and who don’t try to change the girl they’re with at all. We need to romanticise soft kind boys, so that young girls see soft kind boys as the ideal romantic partner. Teach young girls through media that being with the asshole guy isn’t what they need, teach young girls to find kind boys who actually talk to them about real stuff, who watch the movies they like, who never tease them or mock them, who stand up for them and are never ever embarrassed of them, who notice their smarts and their personality, who understand their fears and their struggles, and actually care about them. If we make that the ideal Love Interest™️ character more young girls will see that as someone to strive for, and maybe less of them will settle for guys who treat them poorly because of it.

to make a long story short, we are homeless right now. we finally moved into another place, but our new landlord found out that my mom was living with me but her name wasn’t on the lease. he said we breached our contract, and my mom is under a chapter 13 bankruptcy so the company wouldn’t allow her to put her name on the lease, not even in the first place. we were given 3 days to leave and that was 6 days ago. I reached an agreement with my old landlord and he’s said he would let us move back into our old apartment if we pay half of our old balance, which is $450. until then, we’re sleeping in the car. the little money we had was used to put our belongings in storage, get a p.o. box to receive mail, and a membership to the Y so we could shower and bathe. we’re broke and sleeping in the car right now. we don’t have anywhere to go, and our car doesn’t even have air conditioning. we spend our days in the library and in different stores, but at nighttime we’re on our own. you can imagine how hard it is to sleep in 90+ degree heat with no aircon. We also need to buy personal hygiene things like baby wipes, dry shampoo and things to keep clean if we can’t get to a shower.

school is also started today for my little sister and this is a terrible time for something like this to happen. we were lucky enough to get help with her school supplies from a local church, but she needs to buy school uniforms desperately.

So we need money to survive for the next month until I save $450 and pay my balance at the old place so we can immediately move in. We’re also fucking hungry and the only reason my sister can eat is beceause she eats all 3 meals at her school. Right now just $5 is enough to get us through one day. I’m not gonna be online super regularly, I don’t have cell service.
